One Of the Worst:NBA Live 14

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the all new NBA Live comeback NBA Live 14!
EA Sports has announced a new NBA Live countless times and it was cancelled. It's probably due to NBA 2K14 stealing store shelves and being one of the best sports games on the market. EA has football and soccer but they don't have basketball. Turns out they aren't very good at it.
IGN and Game Informer have said that NBA Live's graphics are broken and sometimes blocky and the actual game isn't better either. It's obvious that NBA was just made for competition. The problem is for Electronic Arts, that rarely ever works. NBA Live 14 is an utter mess and don't buy it anywhere. At least it's not Ashens Cricket 2013.
Overall don't get this game.
NBA Live 14 is rated E.

Critics Consensus:Need For Speed Rivals

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new Need For Speed!
The Need For Speed franchise has always been a bumpy road. Most of the time the game is great and goes exceptionally smooth. That is when it's made by Criterion (Most Wanted,Hot Pursuit) Now it's a new company called Ghost Games. Let's check if they crossed the finish line or gave up on the way.
Probably the most impressive thing about Need For Speed:Rivals is the graphics as many critics such as USGamer,Darkstation and Eurogamer have noted. The graphics look crisp and smooth much like other next-gen games like Killzone:Shadow Fall and Battlefield 4. The racing is not that bad either and the random encounters are implemented very intelligently. The only problem is that this game is pretty much for next-gen consoles as the PC version bugs out and the 360 version is barebones.
Overall get this game (next-gen version though)
Need For Speed Rivals is rated E10+.

Critics Consensus:Homefront

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new action thriller starring James Franco and Jason Statham!
James Franco and especially Jason Statham haven't had a big castout lead in a film in a while and Homefront had some potential. It was actually a decent idea for a script where an ex-DEA agent retires in a small town to save his young daughter and finds himself in more trouble than  he asked for. Unfortunately it's a lackluster barebones movie with the only thing saving it from redemption is the cast.
Film.com called Homefront while not nessescarily a horrible film, a one to skip unless you're willing to see. Plenty other critics stated similar opinions to this with ReelViews saying "noone will remember Homefront in a few months". And it's fine that Homefront's crap. The last two amazing movies of this year were Gravity and  Rush and those were actually memorable and enticing. And Homefront isn't.
Overall only see this movie if you want to.
Homefront is rated R.

Critics Consensus:Oldboy

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new remake of the gory violent foreign cult classic film, Oldboy.
Oldboy is one of those cult classic films like Donnie Darko for example that went on to become great hits but fans hoped Hollywood would never touch again due to either their nature or butchering the film. For some reason Hollywood has decided to remake this movie so lazy Americans don't have to read the subtitles of the original? Even if we don't know why Hollywood decided to create this we still need to find out if it's a good movie so let's go.
It's sad that Oldboy is getting the reception it's getting because it really could have some potential. It's directed by Spike Lee, is acted out with Matt Damon and is written by the guy who wrote I Am Legend which isn't an amazing movie by any means but is still somewhat decent. The movie does have it's moments and stays true to the original in it's sequences as stated by Toulcan Times, but the script has no real improvements from the first film and turns out to be very shallow. (Cited:Time Out New York,New York Times,The Hollywood Reporter)
Oldboy is rated R.
