Battlefield does amazing numbers every time it comes out because it's not only a Call Of Duty clone, it's a smart Call Of Duty clone. It has amazing graphics, story and stunning realism. Call Of Duty rarely catches that. But last years Medal Of Honor:Warfighter did not do well commercially and critically. Will Battlefield 4 do the same? Yes it does and it does it again. Battlefield 4 is once again an excellent achievement from both DICE and Electronic Arts showcasing the talent behind their hands in which they are able to craft breathtaking visual experiences every year. Just look at the reviews on this thing! 86 on Metacritic,"Gives Call Of Duty a run for it's money"-AusGamers,Battlefield 4 is more alive than ever-Gamereactor Sweden, and "Enjoy one of the best online games out there". Assassin's Creed is one of the world's biggest video game franchises to date and boy it took a lot of luck. The first Assassin's Creed came out back in 2007. It was nothing special and was a sleeper hit. But it sold well and it got a sequel. One more game was made until Assassin's Creed turned into an annual franchise with a different setting and time period each game. Now Assassin's Creed is a behemoth from it's spectacular writing,intense action and immense open-worlds to explore. Let's hope Black Flag delivers just that.
As said by many critics like IGN,Vandal Online, and Game Trailers Black Flag is a fantastic game. It realized it's mistakes from the ambitious misstep that was Assassin's Creed 3 and now it's back and better than ever. GRYonline called it the Red Dead Redemption for the pirate genre and the writing is top-notch and not slow-paced like Assassin's Creed 3. A step in the right direction I must say.

USA Today praised that it wasn't Grown-Ups 2 humour even though it's not the most mature thing you have ever seen in your life but it's actually some what funny. You can't help but laughing and somehow that happens here. Jackass is back and while it's not bigger and better it's certainly something to ease your palette. Fart joke palette that is.

The Counselor stars many actors like Michael Fassbender,Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz,Brad Pitt and Cameron Diaz. Now this is not a good sign. Many movies that have starred a significant amount of well-known Hollywood greats have failed. Just look at this years Movie 43 which got horrid reviews and last years Savages which failed tremendously critically and commercially. The same might happen to The Counselor with it's 35% due to it's dull story and repetitive action and is insanely similar to Oliver Stone's Savages as Portland Oreganion said and they even gave it a 0.

In 2011 Rocksteady released Batman:Arkham City a sequel to the hit Batman Arkham Asylum that was a surprise among gamers and among Warner Bros. There had never been a good Batman before than and Warner Bros had just had a hit among gamers. And boy were they gonna cash in. Unfortunately Rocksteady fell silent and did not create a sequel to Arkham Asylum. However Warner Bros moved the project to their Montreal studio. Is it the game fans have always been asking for? This one adds a portable version and a multiplayer mode. Let's find out.
Batman Arkham Origins:
Probably the best compliment that has been given by critics for Arkham Origins is that nothing has changed. WB Games Montreal has had a field day invigorating the franchise but with few innovations and surprises so there would be no negative reception. The plot is somewhat generic as Gamespot said and is pretty predictable but beating up bad guys is as fun as ever including the edition of the new multiplayer mode and detective mode features. Many critics loved Arkham Origins. It doesn't have Rocksteady's footsteps anymore but is a solid edition for the franchise.
Overall get this game if you want it. If you are on the fence you might want to wait till Black Friday or something like that if you are trying to save money for a new console.
Batman Arkham Origins:Blackgate
This game despite being somewhat of a port is not your average Batman. It's made in a 2.5D MetriodVania style sort of way and is a disappointment from critics. It has a 67 on Metacritic and has gotten a 6\10 from GameInformer. Critics said it falls apart and gets worse as it goes and worst of all it has nothing to call it's own. While it may not be a bad game it's certainly something you do not need to shell 50+ dollars for.

Nowadays there isn't a lot of third party support for the WiiU especially if you are a hardcore gamer. The last few big triple A games such as Saints Row,Grand Theft Auto and annual sports series such as NHL or FIFA did not come out on the WiiU and Nintendo has been using all their might to make sure the WiiU succeeds. Well despite the dire financial situations Square Enix is in they are now releasing Deus Ex for the WiiU. Let's see if it's any good. Well now Nintendo only fans can have a field day. NintendoWorldReport gave this a 10\10 even though they did not change the crappy mechanics of the boss battles as VideoGamerTV said. At least they tried though. But Deus Ex is still an amazing game. It's plot is insanely gripping, it's gameplay original and intuitive and the graphics are better than ever on a shiny WiiU. Overall get this game. Deus Ex:Human Revolution:Directors Cut is rated M.

The Fifth Estate is a movie directed by the same person who directed Dreamgirls and all the Twilight movies. While that's one hell of a portfolio The Fifth Estate is not one hell of a movie. It is a hellish hectic movie and here is exactly why.
The Fifth Estate is poorly written and poorly directed. Cumberbatch seems to be placed in the wrong role for this much like Jobs (Ashton Kutcher) and the movie is not entertaining at all. A random sex scene might pop in every once in a while and it's all stringed together very poorly. All in all The Fifth Estate is not a good movie.

Stallone and Schwarzenegger were supposed to make their triumphant returns this year with Bullet To The Head and The Last Stand and then end it off together with Escape Plan. Unfortunately The Last Stand bombed extraordinarily aswell with Bullet To The Head. We'll see with Escape Plan.
Overall Escape Plan is a meh movie as well with every movie that came out this week. It's trying to relive it's 80's magic but things have changed a lot and it just is not there. The plot is not what saves the movie either and nothing really else does. But if you have not seen Schwarzenegger in a while stay for a matinee. It will be somewhat worth it.

Stephen King is probably most known for his book Carrie which was actually made into a movie in the 80's. Well that movie has grown some mold and now a new Carrie is out. Let's check if it's any good.
Carrie boasts some intelligent and well deserving actors as RogerEbert.com said it isn't exactly pure gold. The actors are placed in awkward roles and the movie spends half of it's time trying to figure out what to do instead of actually trying it. Carrie is not a mess it just could be better and is overall a disappointment.

Normally I don't cover that many indie games unless they are total gems like Fez or an absolute stinker like Takedown:Red Sabre. But Day One:Garry's Incident is a special kind of game. A game nearly as bad as Ride To Hell:Retribution and possibly even worse. If you have ever heard of Daikatana Day One is pretty much that except with a few better textures. The reason I covered this game is that it's not absolute trash and you should not play it it's that youtube TotalBiscuit's video was removed because he said that the game was atrocious in every standard. He made a deal for a review code with the developers and they said it was fine to publicize the game. They must have been coding blind because it's horrible and it's buggy,buggy and buggy. I might get suspended for false copyright but before that happens just laugh at this game but the developers are total assholes. This really shouldn't happen. Overall just no Day One:Garry's Incident is rated R.

It was recently announced that Skylanders was now a billion dollar franchise. And the third game had not even come out yet. The magic of Activision ladies and gentlemen. Instead of churning out the same game like what happened with Skylanders last game Giants, this new Skylanders allows you to swap different parts for your Skylander. (Could be a little bit catchier) Anyway let's find out if Skylanders is more than just a one trick pony. One main thing that critics complained about for Swap Force (particularly IGN and AtomicGamer) is the plot. While the plot for a game like this will never be a strong suit the plot feels too repetitive compared to the last games. However Skylanders is still a great gimmick as it always is and if you have or are an 8 year old kid you'll have a blast. Overall only buy this if you have kids. (It is a little bit expensive though) Skylanders Swap Force is rated E10+

Many Zelda's have come out and some like Link's Adventure and Phantom Hourglass have been long forgotten into the shadows but others like Ocarina Of Time and Wind Waker have stood the test of time. Now Wind Waker is coming out in HD to boost WiiU sales. Let's see if it holds up.
The Legend Of Zelda:Wind Waker HD excels in almost every way. As EurogamerSweden said the remastered visuals still look good today and the whimsical storyline makes you feel as if you were a kid again. The gameplay is smooth and fun and even something like the dastardly water temple won't get in the way of your happiness.
Overall get a WiiU for this game. If you have already experienced the magic, wait till the new Smash Bros comes out till shelling 300 dollars.

It's funny that Warner Bros. has released all of their Oscar bait into the ocean this month which such hits as Gravity,Prisoners,and now Captain Phillips. We now Tom Hanks usually will deliver an amazing performance in a movie like this but will this actually be Oscar worthy? Let's find out. Captain Phillips is not a solid gold perfect movie like Gravity but it is really good. It currently has an 83 on Metacritic and a 95 on Rotten Tomatoes. Tom Hanks and the actors as the pirates show their talent many times and the movie's script makes the experience very gripping and intense much like Gravity. This is truly a must see. Overall see this movie. Captain Phillips is rated PG-13.

This week has been a pretty interesting week for release dates considering two interactive dramas have come out. Beyond Two Souls from Heavy Rain creators Quantic Dream and The Wolf Among Us from The Walking Dead creators Telltale Games. The surprising thing is The Wolf Among Us is actually getting better reviews than Beyond. Let's find out why. As Ign and GameInformer said the game is well written and has a fantastic art style. It's sufficiently better than Telltales last game The Walking Dead and is gripping from every decision. Looks like Telltale has now just started churning great games out of their company. Good for them. Overall get this game. Its only 5 dollars! The Wolf Among Us is rated M.

When Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain came out of nowhere critics ate it up. Yes it had a lot of plot holes and yes sometimes it was overly dramatic but it was clearly a step in the right direction. But the question remains can Quantic Dream do their same formula this time with special likenesses like Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe? Let's find out. It's really weird but Beyond:Two Souls might be the most mixed received game of 2013. One critic (Digital Spy) gave it a 100 while AusGamers game it a 25 basically calling it butt cancer. This has probably happened because critics have gotten tired of Quantic Dream's interactive drama formula that they use for every one of their games but if you can get past that Beyond:Two Souls is probably one of the best movies of 2013. But as a game it falls a little bit flat. Overall if you liked Heavy Rain get this. If you havent played Heavy Rain rent this. The games only like 15 hours of gameplay. Beyond:Two Souls is rated M.

It seems that every thriller Ben Affleck appears in is pure gold. Argo,Good Will Hunting, and The Town are perfect examples. But every actor has their weak points and it seems that Runner Runner is a strong one. Runner Runner currently has an 8% on RottenTomatoes and a 37 on Metacritic meaning that it is crappy beyond belief. This is probably because of all the hype we have had for Ben Affleck after the Oscar fest that Argo was. Runner Runner is the exact opposite of Argo. It has a horribly poor script and tries way to hard to be another great thriller. Hey Runner Runner producers. You might want to check out Gravity. Then work on becoming a better freakin writer. Overall do not see this movie. Runner Runner is rated R.

Surprisingly Gravity is that and it's even better than Children Of Men. Gravity is an emotional intense masterpiece as critics such as ReviewsOnTheRun,RogerEbert.com and Rolling Stone. It's probably the most emotionally gratifiying and suspenseful movie you might ever see in your life and its super short just savoring you on the action. Gravity brings new hope for movies in the wake of all the sequels,prequels,and reboots that have come. Gravity brings new hope to the movie industry and is spectacular in every way. Overall see this movie now. Gravity is rated PG-13.

The reason why NBA2K is such a big franchise and infamous for it's quality pedigree each year is that this is the only sports franchise 2K owns. Aside from the dead Top Spin franchise and the newly released 2K Drive the NBA2K workers have no pressure except to make the best basketball game. And they do. With a 87 on Metacritic and critics all across the board calling it fun,improved and the best NBA2K yet. Now that's something.

It's sad because Takedown:Red Sabre had a really cool game and it had a really good showing at PAX. However this is sad because the game had so much potential at the showings it was presented at and looked like another blockbuster FPS for 505 (They already have Payday and Sniper Elite) Unfortunately a cool name does not make everything good. Let's see some of the examples Takedown:Red Sabre fails in every way.

Single player will randomly crash because of multiplayer server issues
The game does not shut down on it's own and you have to close it on Task Manager.
