Critics Consensus: Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is the prequel in the Madagascar franchise Madagascar 3.
In 2005 Dreamworks hit it big with the movie Madagascar. While it was not a critical success,it was for sure a box office success. 7 years later Madagascar 3 is here. The critics consensus is OK-Meh. The New York Times praised the 3-D in the movie and many critics even if they hated or liked the movie said the visuals stood out. The thing Madagascar 3 suffers from is horrible pacing but if a kid was watching it it would not care anyway.
Overall you do not need to see it but if you have a kid ages 5-11 they will have the happiest time of their lives.

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted is rated PG.

Critics Consensus: Prometheus

NOTE: This post will be more complicated then previous one's because this is a giant release for the movie industry. So why not have a giant post?
Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Prometheus a origin story movie about the Alien franchise.
 Plot:
Prometheus's plot is the beginning of the Alien franchise before the first movie Alien. Critics that hate the movie hate the plot and the script for example Slate Magazine but critics who loved the movie for example loved the script and the plot so the plot is basically a love\hate relationship here. Most critics also agreed that the ending was not satisfying also.
Acting:
New York Daily News agreed that Micheal Fassbender's performance was amazing and the best performance though it's not like the other actor's did a crappy job. The acting in Prometheus is solid it's just that Micheal Fassbender's performance stands out because in the movie his role is an android.
Special Effects:
The St. Louis Post Dispatch,Total Film and The Hollywood Reporter agreed that the 3-D is fantastic in the movie so basically we are not getting payed to see a movie with an awkward gimmick. The set-pieces are amazing and the aliens look better than any other movie in the series.
Overall:
While Prometheus questions about human life and does not answer those question's you might be a bit pissed off but the great acting and the suspense pull the movie to it's heights.
Overall if you want to see Prometheus run to the theater now. If you do not want to see it this movie is still worth your time just remember that it this will not beat the standards of the first Alien movie even though that one had crappy special effects.
Trailer:

Prometheus is rated R.
