Killer Is Dead is the latest game from Suda51 and if you want to find out the plot go take some drugs because it's completely insane. It's also sponsored by Jessica Nigri but you now how Lollipop Chainsaw went. Let's hope this isn't another one of those.

What I just said is completely sarcastic. Suda51's games have always been incredibly sexist having boobs every second so if you are willing to protest against that DO NOT BUY THIS. Anyway let's see if this is any good. Gigolo Mode is nothing special as VideoGamerTv said and in fact the only redeemable thing about this game is probably the insanely No More Heroes esque combat. It's insanely fun and even caused IGN to give it a 9.0. So if you are fine with the sexism this game will be a blast.

Overall get this when it is on sale.

One Of The Worst:Flashback

Flashback was a hit back in the 90's with it's revolutionary gameplay similar to Out Of This World and now in order to celebrate the anniversary Ubisoft is doing homage to Flashback with an HD remake (Spoiler Alert:It's not that good.)
The biggest reason that Flashback is crap is all in GameInformer's review in which they gave it a 3.0. Flashback has many many bugs and wonky controls all which disrupt the gameplay from it's full potential which is sad considering that Flashback will never be touched on again and only has this crappy arcade game to take care of it.
Overall don't play this game.

Critics Consensus:Lost Planet 3

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new Lost Planet!

Since Capcom's big 2012 press conference where they showcased such titles as Lost Planet 3, DMC Devil May Cry and Remember Me nothing has really been a hit except for DMC. Capcom is bringing Lost Planet back but will that bode well with critics?

Well there's good news but a lot of bad news as well. Lost Planet 3 is certainly the best in the franchise but with a new developer that also created the atrocity that is Legendary, things did not really come together at the end. The best thing about Lost Planet 3 is the multiplayer as VideoGamerTV said but overall the game's presentation is lacking with slow pace and unwanted realism to an otherwise balls to the walls series. Lost Planet has always been mediocre and the latest one shows with a 57 on Metacritic.

Overall only get this if you want to.

Critics Consensus:You're Next

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new horror movie called You're Next which is surprisingly getting good reviews.

Adam Wingard is known for his insanely low budget horror movies (one was only $2000 dollars) and they get a lot of attention at film's festivals. Now Lionsgate is giving him a chance and making sure that You're Next is a hit.
The trailer for You're Next is very very generic and you probably expect a 13%. However it has a 65 on Metacritic and a 79% on RottenTomatoes. You're Next is another Cabin In The Woods as Globe And Mail because it does not take itself too seriously, is very funny for a horror movie and actually has a decent amount of scares. 
Overall see this movie.

Critics Consensus:Disney Infinity

Skylanders is now another Call Of Duty for Activision bringing in millions of dollars every few months. Disney now wants to make some cash off of the same idea and it will probably work when it features recognizable characters. However will it make the critical cut? Let's find out.

Disney Infinity has a lot of oomph over Skylanders. It has a level editor,and features Pixar,Pirates Of The Caribbean and Wreck-It-Ralph. It has a giant load of content as IGN said and is maybe worth the price tag for all those other toys. It's also outrageously fun with friends as Canadian Online Gamers said but don't forget that big price tag. Fun comes with a cost kids.

Overall only get this game if you have kids, or have lots of money to spend on toys..

Critics Consensus: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell:Blacklist

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new Splinter Cell game!

A lot of franchise reboots have come out recently. Syndicate,Tomb Raider,Sim City,Dmc Devil May Cry,and Hitman:Absolution. Some have flopped and some have succeeded  However most of those games besides DMC have been ripped on because they tried to get the game to a broader audience. That's exactly what's happening to Blacklist. Let's just hope too much does not get to it.
If too ambitious is a thing Blacklist achieves just that. The story is generic and the new Sam Fisher voice actor is downright obnoxious as VideoGamerTV stated. Not all is bad as the multiplayer modes are one hell of a blast with the exception of the non-existent co-op on the WiiU. Ubisoft tried to make it appeal to all audiences and if you are fine with that you should go purchase Blacklist right now. However if you are a hardcore Splinter Cell fan you should get this only for the multiplayer.

Critics Consensus:Saints Row IV

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new Saints Row!

Saints Row 3 was in a way THQ's swan song. After flop after flop such as Homefront and Udraw THQ had one last big release and that was Saints Row 3. The game became a classic for it's over-the-top-ness and sold amazingly well. Though that was not enough to save THQ.
Deep Silver ended up buying a lot of THQ's properties and Saints Row was in the mix. Just like THQ Deep Silver has gotten far out with insane marketing and advertising. This happened with Homefront too but fortunately this is not a bad sign as Saints Row 4 has a 83 on Metacritic. Some might complain that this venture was too ludicrous as you do become a super-powered president but the script,gameplay, and world are enough to keep bringing you in as Game Informer said.
Overall get this game.

Critics Consensus: The Bureau:XCOM Declassified

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new XCOM reboot sequel sort of thing! It's complicated.

XCOM was originally a reboot to the acclaimed 90's action series and 2K wanted it to be a first person shooter. Then delays and troubles arose and with Electronic Art's Syndicate not selling well (it was also a 90's strategy hit rebooted into an FPS) 2K turned XCOM back into a strategy game. It worked well and became one of the most respected titles of 2012. Well now 2K is trying to dip XCOM into the third person shooter genre. But one quick mistake and this could easily fail.
Well The Bureau is not a bad game because 2K Marin always tries hard as seen with Enemy Unknown but what went wrong? The Bureau has a 68 on Metacritic. Even IGN gave it a 5.5 and they typically give everything a high score. The problem is The Bureau's gameplay mechanics don't always work and sometimes can be really clunky and generic. However as VideoGamerTV said XCOM is lots of fun with friends and the plot is intruiging.
Overall only get this if you want to.

Critics Consensus:The Worlds End

NOTE:I have been on vacation and since so much came out this week The Mortal Instruments will not be covered. It looks like crap anyway.
Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new comedy from the directors of Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz!

Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz are known as some of the best comedies ever. Now after nearly half a decade director Edgar Wright is coming back with The World's End. And this is not some quick cash in. The World's End is getting some of the best reviews of a movie this year.

The World's End is a comedic masterpiece. It has universal acclaim on Metacritic and a 90% on RottenTomatoes meaning everybody friggin loved it. The Globe And Mail Toronto praised The World's End for being a breath of fresh air in a month thats overcrowded with sequels,adaptations and cashgrabs this seems like the only movie that isn't that. Even Slant Magazine,Slate, and Tampa Bay Times gave it a 10. The World's End is truly a movie to die for.

Overall see this movie.

One Of The Worst:Jobs

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new biopic about Steve Jobs starring Ashton Kutcher that no one really gives a hoot about.

When Steve Jobs died there was massive backlash after a movie was going to be made about him. Then there was even more backlash when it was going to star Ashton Kutcher who was recognized at the time as the bland actor in Two And  A Half Men. Well Jobs has finally come out so let's see it it deserved that backlash.

Sadly Jobs is a critical and might be a commercial failure. The film tries to hard as The Chicago Tribune stated and the performance from Ashton Kutcher is misplaced and awkward. Even Slant thought it was so bad that they gave it a 0\10.

Overall do not see this movie. For the love of god don't.

Critics Consensus:Kick-Ass 2

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the sequel to Kick Ass!

Kick-Ass was a hit when it came out in 2010 partly due to it's over-the-top story telling and balls to the wall action. So as Hollywood goes if anything makes a decent amount of money it's thrown into sequel territory. But does Kick Ass 2 punt scores into the stratosphere? (Thats some good writing right there lol)
Not so much. Kick-Ass 2 is not a horrific movie as many expected and theres a decent amount of effort put into it but it still holds a 32 on RottenTomatoes and a 47 on Metacritic due to it's repetitive dialogue in which every sentence holds the word f**k,boobs or sh*t. (Citied:Chicago Reader.) Kick Ass 2 is just more of the same and sometimes that does not work out.
Overall only see this movie if you want to.

Critics Consensus:Ducktales Remastered

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new Ducktales HD remake!

When you think of nostalgia you usually think as a gamer Ducktales. Ducktales is one of the most recognized platformers in gaming history and Capcom surprised us all at this years PAX that Ducktales would be available for your Xbox 360,Playstation 3, and WiiU in less than a year. But does the port bode well or should it not be put on your bill. 

Interestingly enough Ducktales is getting very mixed reviews. And that's simply because Ducktales has not aged well as PCGamer said. The difficulty can be through the roof and the repitition can be simply obnoxious. However the remastered graphics and new additions save the game from epitome. Machinima even gave this a 90!

Overall only get this game if you want to.

Critics Consensus:Payday 2

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the sequel to the hit Payday!

The original Payday:The Heist was a hit. Sure it was pretty buggy, did not have the best AI, and was kind of repetitive but it was a breath of fresh air from all the military shooters that came out in 2011. Well Overkill was happy with the results so they decided to go all out with a sequel.

Payday is one of those games were it's only fun with another player even if they screw up a bunch. The singleplayer in Payday is always nothing special as GameInformer said but the non-stop through the roof action definitely makes up for it. Also its insanely addictive as IGN said and comes with a lot more content.

Overall get  this game.

My Personal Opinion:Pikmin 3

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is my review of Pikmin 3.

Pikmin fans have been waiting years for the next Pikmin anthology and it was originally announced as a launch title for the WiiU. Then countless delays happened but somehow it's out. And is it worth the wait? 

I would not say that it was worth a ten year wait but Pikmin 3 is probably going to be one of the best games for the WiiU ever. Pikmin 3 is fun and encourages you to be smart with your gameplay mechanics. You have to plan every day out or you will lose Pikmin and fruit and it gets very intense sometimes despite the cutey art style.  Talking about the art style the graphics are amazing and use every ounce of the WiiU's capability.

Pikmin 3 is getting a 9.25 out of 10 from me. Definitely buy a WiiU for this one.

Critics Consensus:Mario & Luigi:Dream Team

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new Mario role-playing game!!

Nintendo has been really heavy on 3DS titles lately with hits like Luigi's Mansion 2:Dark Moon, Animal Crossing:New Leaf and Fire Emblem:Awakening. Now it's bringing a new role playing Mario franchise to the 3DS about crossing dimensions.
Well Nintendo does not fail yet again (3DS that is) Dream Team has an 82 on Metacritic with critics praising it's fun unique role playing gameplay unlike any Mario game. The only knock-off is that it's very long with a whopping thirty hours as Vandal Online said. But usually fun rules all.
Overall get this game.

Critics Consensus:Percy Jackson:Sea Of Monsters

It's funny because the original Percy Jackson didn't even do well commercially or critically. It was meant to be the next Harry Potter or Twilight series but nothing really boosted it to fame. But you know what? Every thing gets the sequel tag slapped on it so here's another one.

Percy Jackson:The Sea Of Monster is atrocious. The plot is contrived on so many levels and every character is generic screamed out in a megaphone. The script does not do much better either with the two hour runtime. A lot of critics have given this a 20\100 or below so

Overall stay away.

Critics Consensus:Planes

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a spinoff of Cars. YAY!!!! It's gonna be a crapfest.

OK. Disney is practically using kids as sheep to herd to theaters for their latest disaster Planes. The catch of Planes is that it has the Pixar label on it but even with the decrease in quality in Pixar films lately Pixar only animated this. But people will shell money out of their pockets for trash I guess.
Planes has nothing to prove to widen it from every other kids movie as Film.com said. It looks good with the computer animated graphics but there's no substance and that's what Pixar films used to be made with. Now it looks like money is the key factor instead of a good script as Austin Chronicle said.
Overall just no. No no no no no.

Critics Consensus:Elysium

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Elysium a new action drama from the director of District 9.

District 9 was known as one of the best movies of the year and one of the best sci-fi movies known to exist. Now Neill Blomkamp is making a new action thriller called Elysium. It's got an amazing storyline so does it bode well?
Unfortunately not. Elysium is not a bad disappointment by any means but is certainly leftover dinner compared to District 9. The acting is not that visceral as District 9 with Jodie Foster's fake contrived accent and the movie trying to fit too much into it's timeframe. Elysium is one of the best movies of the summer though. Only because nothing good came out in the summer.
Overall only see this movie if you want to.

Critics Consensus:Brothers:A Tale Of Two Sons

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new action adventure game where you control two players at the same time! Interesting!

Microsoft's Summer Of Arcade lineup has always been strong with titles like Trials HD,Splosion Man,Dust An Elysian Tail, and Limbo. However to due Microsoft's focus on the Xbox One the Summer Of Arcade has been a little bit dry. Except for one title from Starbreeze (developers of The Darkness) who aim to turn around this summer's season of games.

Brothers:A Tale Of Two Sons is emotionally captivating as Eurogamer Italy said. It is immensely satisfying as Games Master UK stated as well and is looking to be one of the best downloadable games of the year. The only few knock offs are that it's short but this game is amazing either way.

Overall get this game. It's cheap and definitely worth it.

Critics Consensus: Ibb And Obb

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new puzzle platformer called Ibb and Obb similar to the XBLA great Ilomilo!

The Xbox Live Marketplace is home to many many great games and is one of the main reasons to buy a Xbox 360. Playstation Network however has only a handful of amazing games such as Journey. But will Ibb and Obb be PSN's Braid? Let's find out.
Ibb and Obb is a co-op puzzle platformer in which the two characters use gravity to solve complex situations around the game world.  This all sounds cool but the problem is Ibb and Obb is not executed very well. GameInformer said that the single player was painstaking and some of the level design in co-op levels was infuriating but not all is bad. GamesBeat gave Ibb and Obb a 82 for it's creative art design.
Overall only get this game if you want to.

Critics Consensus:Pikmin 3

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the long awaited Pikmin 3!

Pikmin is one of Nintendo's most loved franchises by a longshot. It was originally showed on the Gamecube to present the groundbreaking technology that was up to one hundred and twenty AI's. Pikmin was eventually released and was acclaimed by many. Then Pikmin 2 came out and then the Pikmin franchise fell to sleep for about a decade. Well Pikmin 3 is finally out. Let's hope it's actually worth that wait.
Pikmin 3 has not gotten a single negative or mixed review according to Metacritic. The game holds a 87 and is the highest rated game for the WiiU so far. This game is so good it could potentially save the WiiU. Telegraph praised the gameplay in which you don't multitask and think smartly most of your Pikmin will perish. GameInformer also rewarded Pikmin 3 a good review due to it's co-op story and co-op versus modes. This game is a monolith.
Overall get this game. If you don't have a WiiU get a WiiU. It's that good.

One Of The Worst:Smurfs 2

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Smurfs 2. Well life is great isn't it.

It's sad that in order to introduce things to kids that were in the 80's,90's or 70's they have to do this. Make one of the worst movies imaginable and is only watchable if you are younger than 9. It's just an incoherent mess disguised as a cashgrab and even San Francisco Chronicle said that there was so much torture and suffering it was Zero Dark Smurffy. And yep. They have planned a Smurfs 3 and 4. I'm ready to quit life right now.

Overall just lowest of the low. Bottom of the barrel.

Critics Consensus:2 Guns

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is 2 Guns a new action movie.

2 Guns is your average action movie with average action stars such as Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg. There seems to be a niche for these movies so does 2 Guns hit the mark? (No pun intended) Lets find out.

2 Guns is an OK movie. You'll probably like it actually. Even Salon.com gave it a 7.0 saying its hard to hate it due to the chemistry between Washington and Wahlberg, the acting, and the fast paced action. Unfortunately it's completely forgettable as SSG Syndicate stated and the writing is pretty bare-bones. But with a movie like this what do you expect?

Overall only see this movie if you want to. 

2 Guns is rated R.

Critics Consensus: Cloudberry Kingdom

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new indie platformer Cloudberry Kingdom!

Last year a little game came out called Spelunky that was insanely hard and some of the best fun I've had with friends. Personally it was my favorite game of 2012 and I am still playing it to this day. Now there's a new game called Cloudberry Kingdom which is really similar to Spelunky (randomly generated levels, local co-op) and well let's see what the critics think.
Cloudberry Kingdom might turn you off because of it's name (pretty poor name) and it looks like a Flash game as VideoGamerTV said. Unfortunately Cloudberry Kingdom is fun but does not have the best batch of content and will get old after awhile.(Citied:Nowgamer) But if you have a lot of friends over and can spend ten dollars to throw away, this will be a good couple of hours.
Overall only get this game if you're having a party or a couple of friends over. Hopefully they won't be turned off by the atrocious name.
