My Personal Opinion: Pacific Rim

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is me reviewing Pacific Rim!

What makes me really sad is that Pacific Rim opened up to lukewarm box office success due to the competitor that was Grown-Ups 2. Now this makes me hate Grown-Ups 2 and Adam Sandler even more but makes me love Pacific Rim even more. Pacific Rim is not your typical Godzilla fest because Del Toro wants it to have substance. Yes I was not emotionally attached to the characters for the whole time but I felt that I definitely was happy with what I was presented with. Oh yah. One last mention. If this movie was muted it would still be amazing because of the breathtaking special effects. Man it looks good. My only complaint is that it dragged a little at the end but to be honest I don't really care.

Pacific Rim is getting a 8.5 out of 10 from me.

Critics Consensus:Blue Jasmine

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Woody Allen's new film!

In 2011, Woody Allen hit it big with Midnight In Paris. In 2012 he made To Rome With Love a spiritual successor of sorts. But in 2013 he changed it after To Rome With Love was not a critical darling. Instead Blue Jasmine is a comedy drama. Will it be a turn of events for Allen?
Blue Jasmine is looking to be a critical darling.
Thankfully Blue Jasmine hits all the right notes. The performance from Cate Blanchett is amazing and even made the Wall Street Journal give the movie a 10\10 and USA Today called it one of Allen's best films in years. Good day to be a Woody Allen fan.
Overall see this movie.

Critics Consensus:Fruitvale Station

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new drama about the murder of Oscar Grant.

In 2006, Crash won for best picture. It was a good movie but some people argue it should not have won. Crash was a racial biopic and it was pretty good. But now Fruitvale Station a new movie about the Oscar Grant Bart murder, is now in movie form. 

And it's pretty damn good. It's fierce intense performances (Micheal B. Jordan especially) and more than fleshed out script make Fruitvale Station a must-see. There is now way that this movie will not grasp a couple of Oscar nods or even Oscars. It's just that good.

Overall I don't care if you have to drive an hour to find this movie in a theater. You need to see it in one way or another now.

Critics Consensus: The Wolverine

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new Wolverine movie!

X-Men Origins:Wolverine was a gargantuan flop. It did bad with critics and audiences and thanks to bad word of mouth, 20th Century Fox did not have another Wolverine movie for four years. But Marvel is hitting it back with somewhat of a Wolverine reboot? Is this worse than Origins and have Wolverine's day's past or is it a big hitter for the summer.

Well based off of critics, neither. The Wolverine has gotten a lot of good reviews (Washington Post,Salon.com,Variety)mediocre reviews ( Arizona Republic,Empire, Total Film) and a lot of bad reviews. (Time Out New York,Film.Com,Time Out London.) It's certainly a mixed bag with good acting from Hugh Jackman and cool special effects but does cascade with a wonky script.

Overall only see this if you want to.
