Critics Consensus: Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Madea's Witness Protection yet another Tyler Perry movie.
Tyler Perry movies have a record of being bad but not as low as a  14% on Rotten Tomatoes bad. Ugh even talking about this is gonna be painful. Madea's Witness Protection is another movie in the Madea series and this one deals with witness protection. Literally you can tell from the title. Mostly what critics complained about was the lack of laughs which was referenced by The A.V Club in their review, and most critics complained about why these movies get made. For instance The Hollywood Reporter said that the series was getting tired. Cole Smithy even called people who do not like Tyler Perry movies to be damned if they see it. Ouch.
Overall run away from this one. Literally. If this was a person it would be a booger eating, obese, racist, and deformed human being. (Sorry, Tyler Perry.)

Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection is rated PG-13.

Critics Consensus: People Like Us

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is People Like Us a new family dramadey made by Dreamworks.
People Like Us's title is ironic because the reviews are meh. For example Leonard Martin,Film.com and other critics complained about the movie being too slow. The writing and the acting are good as Richard Roeper said but the movie falls flat because it feels like a boring soap opera. Movies are movies not soap operas.
Overall only see this if you really want to. Hey the kid on the poster is cute.

People Like Us is rated PG-13.

Critics Consensus: Magic Mike

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Magic Mike a movie about male strippers. (How Awkward.)

Let's get to the truth here. Channing Tatum has been in a bucketload of crappy movies.
Critics say Magic Mike is ridiculous but there is some fun here and there. Magic Mike has garnered mostly positive reviews strangely and even USA Today praised Channing Tatum's acting and Doodle loved the cinematography. But Magic Mike is not a movie for everyone. It's user score on Metacritic is a 5.5 while it's critics score is a 7.2.
Overall see this movie if you really wanna. Male Strippers is a uncomfortable subject.

Magic Mike is rated R.

Critics Consensus: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim- Dawnguard

NOTE: This is our 100th post. On Monday we will either have a My Personal Opinion or a 100th post recap.
Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is a new add-on for the colossal game Skyrim.
Skyrim is one of the best if not the best games of 2011. After about 6 months they delivered an add-on that has a  overused cliche. Vampires. Just like Harley Quinn's Revenge this is amazing DLC but has well not so much content.  While some critics like IGN and Eurogamer were mad by the price Dawnguard is a great update but do not expect Skyrim amount's of content.
The only no complaint review was Official Xbox Magazine with a 9.0 and that was pretty much it believe it or not.
Overall get this DLC but if you eat content really fast you will be surprised at how fast this went and be disappointed.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Skyrim - Dawnguard is rated M.

Critics Consensus: Ted

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Ted the new movie debut from the creator of Family Guy.
To put it in simple words Ted is an adult version of Alvin And The Chipmunks except with no ear bleeding music or a threesome of CGI characters. Well critics say that Ted is one of the funniest movies since Bridesmaids but it does not have it's faults. About.com,Flixist.com and ReviewsOnTheRun called Ted hilarious. Even Scott C Jones said that he was laughing far long after a certain funny scene was over. Though Scene Stealers.com did call Ted too over the top.
Overall you should go see Ted. If you did not want to see it then don't see it but if you do run to the theater right now.

Ted is rated R.

Critics Consensus: The Amazing Spider-Man

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is The Amazing Spider-Man the adaptation of the new movie coming out next week.
Usually I do not cover game based movie reviews on this blog because movie games usually suck. This one sounded kinda interesting (actually only interesting because of the crazy Stan Lee DLC.) Surprisingly, the game is OK according to critics but like critics Gamereactor Sweden and Destructoid said the gameplay feels very similar to the Batman: Arkham Asylum series. The best thing about the game is the overwhelming amount of content (about 30 hours) which Planet Xbox 360 and Canadian Online Gamers talked about in their review. This game shows the Bat is better than Spidey but it will still hold up.
Overall get this game if you wanna and don't if you don't. The Amazing Spider Man is more of like The Decent Spider-Man.

The Amazing Spider Man is rated T.

Critics Consensus: Spec Ops: The Line

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Spec Ops: The Line a reboot of the Spec Ops series that came out in the 2000's.
In the early 2000's and the late 1990's a series came out that fell flat many times over and over again. That series was a series called Spec Ops. Well 2K rebooted the franchise and there's good news and there's bad news. Machinima gave it a 9.0 praising it for it's intelligent treatment of adult themes. Official Xbox Magazine also praised it for how it made you think and Game Informer called the story riveting. The problems about Spec Ops: The Line is that it has minute to minute gameplay and if you like games that don't make you think (Call Of Duty for example) this is not for you.
Overall get this if you want it and are a gamer who knows the games consequences, and do not get it if you are a more bang-bang explosion person

Spec Ops: The Line is rated M.

Critics Consensus: To Rome With Love

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is To Rome With Love the spiritual successor to Midnight In Paris.
Last year a movie came out was critically acclaimed, got good box office moola, and was nominated for a slew of Oscars. That movie was Midnight In Paris. The sort of spiritual successor to Midnight In Paris. Critics say all this does is change Bonjour to Ciao. USA Today said it probably is not going to win audiences like Midnight In Paris did and they gave it a 63. The New York Observer also called it too long while New York Daily News thought the acting did not work.
Overall if you see this you will be disappointed but you will have one laugh or two.

To Rome With Love is rated R.

Critics Consensus: Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Seeking a Friend For The End Of The World a new romantic comedy set during the apocalypse.
The apocalypse is nice in this movie. Well in a way. Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World stars Steve Carell and Kiera Knightley in a movie about two new lovers setting on a quest during the apocalypse. New Orleans Times liked the script in fact most critics did and other critics felt the acting was good too like in The A.V. Club's review. Most of the reviews were positive until they talked about the final act. So the rest of the movie is good until the ending.
Overall see this if you want to and see it if you don't.

Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World is rated R.

My Personal Opinion: LEGO Batman 2:DC Superheroes.

NOTE: This is different than the posts we have on this blog because instead of the critics opinion this is my opinion. This time it is LEGO Batman 2: DC Superhereos.
I played Batman:Arkham City for a while and I loved it so I wanted a new Batman experience. LEGO Batman 2 suddenly came on my list and I thought I might check it out. Just when I thought the LEGO games were the same experience over and over again I was wrong. LEGO Batman 2 adds an open world that is pretty cool and it also has a big complaint from me voice acting. The funny thing is the villain voice acting sucks and Joker sounds like an optimistic hot-dog vendor but the superhero voice acting was actually pretty good besides the fact that I swear Robin sounds like a 13 year old kid. When I started the game it felt like a 2-D brawler and then it carried on to a similar LEGO experience. Co-op could be better because some of the puzzles are obtuse and solutions come to you at the last minute but overall the gameplay was fine. The plot suffers from just plain boring sequences like "Bruce Wayne gets his Man Of The Year award stolen" not Joker robs the worlds biggest bank. LEGO Batman 2 was kind of fun I guess but I was hoping to be blown away and immersed into the world. Nope I'm just fighting Joker another time for Pete's sake.
LEGO Batman 2: DC Superhereos is getting a 7.0 out of 10 from me.

Critics Consensus: Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
Just from the title this movie sounds cheeseball. Just from the reviews this movie sounds like a dead raccoon. Here's some examples to show you proof. The A.V. Club called it laughable and gave it a 42. The Chicago Tribune gave it a 50 stating a complaint about the cliches. The worst of all The New York Post's Kyle Smith gave it a 0 out of 100 saying that he would rather be gargling nitroglycerine then see this movie again. Ouch that sounds painful.
Overall Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is the fail of the week you could say. Who knows? This might win a Razzie.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is rated R.

Critics Consensus: Magic:The Gathering-Duels Of The Planeswalkers 2013

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Magic:The Gathering-Duels Of The Planeswalkers 2013 a new game in the Magic: The Gathering series.
The Magic series is one of those series that is a rare genre. Tabletop board game made into a video game. Now if that sounds boring consider that it got a 9.0 from Eurogamer and Joystiq and they called it the series best translation. The other reviews scores were a 85,85, and a 7.0. Now that's impressive. This is the best Magic game in the series and is also good for newcomers. Though if you are a Halo and Assassin's Creed fan who likes fast paced gaming this is not for you.
Overall get this game just don't get it if it seems boring to you.

Magic:The Gathering-Duels Of The Planeswalkers 2013 is rated T.

Critics Consensus: Brave

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Brave Pixar's newest movie.
There is good and bad news about Brave. The good news is that it''s not the atrocity Cars 2 was but it does not meet up to Pixar's high track record. The Denver Post's review stated it perfectly saying it is like admitting your straight A student got a B.  But hey you don't have to be all negative because most of the reviews were positive it's just that Brave is good but it's not Pixar good. Brave has incredible animation and an astonishing moral but it's not Pixar good. So while Brave will probably be one of the best animated movies of the year, it is not one of the best movies of the year something Pixar is known for.
Overall you'll probably like this movie so go see it. But if you want Toy Story and Up standards look elsewhere.

Brave is rated PG.

Critics Consensus: Steel Battalion:Heavy Armor

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Steel Battalion:Heavy Armor the remake of the Steel Battalion series for the Kinect.
Sometimes we get a game that is like vomiting in a shower. It's sad when that happens. Anyway you probably know where i'm going with this post. When a game gets a 3.0 from IGN, Game Informer, and Destructoid and only one positive review this is what we get. The equivalent of vomiting in a shower. Well why? Giant Bomb,Polygon and Electronic Gaming Monthly complained about controls while IGN called the game "hell".
Overall don't trust this game. I don't care if the ad says 10\10:IGN it is still crap.

Steel Battalion:Heavy Armor is rated M.

Critics Consensus: The Art Of Rap

NOTE: We will have more posts than usual this week because of the crowded summer release schedule.
Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is The Art Of Rap a new musical documentary.
Musical Documentaries are a small genre but have good critical acclaim. No wait amazing critical acclaim because the newest one The Art Of Rap has a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Chicago Tribune loved the interviews and every review out there is positive. Hey 10 positive reviews do not lie. The Art Of Rap is the best movie of Jun 15 2012- Jun 22 2012. That's right.
Overall see this movie. This is worth your time and money.

The Art Of Rap is rated R.

Critics Consensus:Sid Meier's Civilization V: Gods & Kings

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Sid Meier's Civilization V: God & Kings the newest expansion pack in the Civilization series.
Civilization is a giant series for the PC industry. Racking lots of sales every year 2K Games the developer of this game series loves the franchise. Critics do too. But what about the newest installment an expansion to Civilization 5? Yes indeed. The Escapist gave it a 9.0 stating it was addicting and 7 critics gave the game a nine out of ten. Besides Quarter To Three's negative review, every other review was positive. An addicting experience with tons of fun gameplay enhancements makes for a good game.
Overall get this. If you are not a strategy fan hold on. First Person Shooters do not compare to strategy games.

Sid Meier's Civilization V: God & Kings is rated E10+

Critics Consensus: The Woman in the Fifth

NOTE: We will have more posts than usual this week because of the crowded summer release schedule.
Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is The Woman In The Fifth a new indie thriller.
The Woman In The Fifth is one of the best movies of the week. Just because this week failed for good movies. With a 63% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 54 on Metacritic .The New York Times and Cinemalogue.com praised the acting and Newark Star-Ledger liked it saying that it will haunt you for a while. This movie, few liked and few hated. Most thought it was meh.
Overall see it if you want to and don't see it if you don't want to.

The Woman In The Fifth is rated R.

Critics Consensus: LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.
Last year 3 LEGO games came out. This year is looking the same if the Wii U comes out this year. This LEGO game though had much controversy because the characters talk instead of just making noises and gesticulation like "Hmm" and mumbling. This game has a 79 on Metacritic and is having much critical acclaim. (Besides from Official Xbox Magazine which hated the game.) Guardian called it the best LEGO game in years and Official Xbox Magazine UK said it was the strongest LEGO game yet. Who knew? Adding an open-world, voice acting, and lots of content really helped the LEGO series.
Overall get this game. If you don't like LEGO's and are a mature gamer rent it. You will still have ton's of fun.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is rated E10+.

Critics Consensus: Your Sister's Sister

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Your Sister's Sister a new independent rom-com drama.
This is weird. Instead of big Hollywood releases getting critical acclaim small independent movies are but this time it's continuing a trend. Your Sister's Sister has not gotten a score from a critic below a 50 but the thing is only The New York Observer and The A.V. Club gave it a 50. All the other reviews were 60+ and there was 21 of them. This movie has excellent acting, has a  funny script, and enjoyable even though it has a few characters.
Overall, you should see this movie. You can't go wrong with MovieLine, Entertianment Weekly, indieWIRE,TIME,Chicago Reader, and The Guardian liking the same movie after all.

Your Sister's Sister is rated R.

Critics Consensus: Babel Rising

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Babel Rising a port of the iPhone game Babel Rising.
Well here's a funny joke that's not funny to Ubisoft. Ubisoft's Babel Rising is more of like Babel Falling to critics. Literally. The highest score was a 62 from 3DJeugos. Ouch. Destructiod complained about bare-bones gameplay and OXM (Official Xbox Magazine) complained the Kinect controls were fussy. At least it has interesting mechanics like AusGamers said. That's right that's what the only good thing about this game was. Interesting Mechanics!
Overall skip this one. If you really want it buy the demo. That way you will not waste money.

Babel Rising is rated E10+.

Critics Consensus: That's My Boy

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is That's My Boy a new Adam Sandler comedy.
Adam Sandler is another one of those actors whose critical career is shooting itself in the foot. Multiple times. That's why I was excited for That's My Boy thinking it might be good and be one of the few OK-Good Adam Sandler movies there is. Sadly not. That's My Boy is not funny at all. Film.com said that a mother being eaten by bears is funnier than this and The Washington Post said that it was like the script was written by a thirteen year old.
Overall this is another crappy movie weekend. Rock Of Ages then That's My Boy. Do not see this. Eating paint is better than this movie.

That's My Boy is rated R.

Critics Consensus: Gravity Rush

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Gravity Rush a new PSVita puzzle platformer with a gravity spinoff.
Sony's silent surprise is here. Gravity Rush it is called. Let's get on it here the Playstation Vita has been struggling a bit. Walking over stones and falling into the ground. Well when gets a 10 out of 10 from Digital Spy, Gamereactor Denmark, and gameblog.fr you know it's good. Gamespot did complain about dull combat and Metro Game Central was made at it's flaws but when a game offers an amazing overall gameplay experience including Gamereactor Denmark stating it as a Game Of The Year contender the game is magical.
Overall get this. This is the reason to get a PSVita.

'Gravity Rush is rated T.

Critics Consensus: Rock Of Ages

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Rock Of Ages a new movie based off the musical.
There always comes a time when Hollywood fails big time. Where they put big time actors like Tom Cruise, Russel Brand,Alec Baldwin,Paul Giamatti and Catherine Zeta Jones and well the movie sucks. The newest example is Rock Of Ages. The New York Observer absolutely hated the movie saying it was between the reaches of Howard The Duck and Battlefield Earth. Now that's bad. Salon.com also complained that it was too fictional\fake. Rock Of Ages has miscast actors, long screen time and other atrocities mixed in. The only good things are that it's funny sometimes as Rotten Tomatoes.com stated. Ya funny while annoying heavy metal and rock and roll are being blasted into your ears.
Overall don't see this. Simple as that.

Rock Of Ages is rated PG-13.

Critics Consensus: DiRT Showdown

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Dirt Showdown the newest game in the DiRT racing series.
In 2011 DiRT 3 came out and was a hit for Codemasters. Well they kinda wanted to continue the revenue so they released DiRT Showdown. Well remember how Starhawk had crappy single player and good multiplayer? This is kinda the same. Critics like IGN Gameblog.fr and CD Action have complained about limited content and Playstation:The Official Magazine said that DiRT 3 is much better. That's sad because so much more could have come out of this game and so little succeeded.
Overall this is a rent if you want the game or are a DiRT fan. Codemasters just let you down.

DiRT Showdown is rated E10+.

Critics Consensus: Safety Not Guaranteed

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Safety Not Guaranteed a new indie comedy from the producers of Little Miss Sunshine.
Little Miss Sunshine won two Oscars including best picture. Well this film looks to be just like that (same number of theaters, similar crew, same genre.) and that's a good thing. Safety Not Guaranteed is an indie comedy about a mysterious classified ad. Safety Not Guaranteed is jumping into a truck filled with amazing critical acclaim. While Rotten Tomatoes says the movie is a bit too ambitious. Well Safety Not Guaranteed pleased Slate,Los Angeles Times,New York Post, Reel Views,Rolling Stone and Leonard Martin with it's charm, great acting and laughs.
Overall go see Safety Not Guaranteed but since this is only in 6 theaters nationwide you might need to wait till it's on DVD.

Safety Not Guaranteed is rated R.

Critics Consensus: Lollipop Chainsaw

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Lollipop Chainsaw a new game from the developer Suda51.
The plot of this game is crazy. A cheerleader cutting zombies at a highschool with a chainsaw and a severed head attached to her waist. Well that is crazy. Though Gaming Age, Gaming Limit and Destructoid gave it a 9.0. In fact the only problem with this game critics had was that it's a slight copy of Bayonetta and Splatterhouse, and the game is short. The gameplay is fun and exciting and even if you think the plot is crap you will still have fun slicing zombies heads with a chainsaw.
Overall if you want to get this get it and if you do not rent it. It's that simple.

Lollipop Chainsaw is rated M.

Critics Consensus: Bel Ami

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Bel Ami a new historical drama (similar to For Greater Glory) about a guy who uses sex and seducing to gain power in where he lives.
You can not talk about this movie without Robert Pattinson. The Twilight superstar Robert Pattinson has now starred in a limited movie again. Well the good thing is he made the movie watchable. Actually that's kind of a bad thing. Village Voice, Empire, Variety, and The Guardian all gave this movie a 4.0 because of mediocre acting, boring scenes, and overstuffed with cliche.
Overall please don't see this. If you are a fan of Robert Pattinson see the Twilight movies again.

Bel Ami is rated R.

My Personal Opinion: Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

NOTE: This is different than the posts we have on this blog because instead of the critics opinion this is my opinion. This time it is Madagascar 3.
Somewhere, somehow I have seen all the Madagascar movies in theaters. Not like I'm a big fan of them but it happens one way or another. I loved Madagascar hated Madagascar 2 and well Madagascar 3 is if you got the first movie and the second movie and put them in a blender. It's just slightly better than mediocre. The movie is really hilarious within the first act and then I was like why am I not laughing? The ending is OK I guess and the plot is as thin as a toothpick. This feels like a rent for me and I will probably not see Madagascar 4 now.
Overall Madagascar 3 is getting a 5.0 from me.

Critics Consensus: Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is the prequel in the Madagascar franchise Madagascar 3.
In 2005 Dreamworks hit it big with the movie Madagascar. While it was not a critical success,it was for sure a box office success. 7 years later Madagascar 3 is here. The critics consensus is OK-Meh. The New York Times praised the 3-D in the movie and many critics even if they hated or liked the movie said the visuals stood out. The thing Madagascar 3 suffers from is horrible pacing but if a kid was watching it it would not care anyway.
Overall you do not need to see it but if you have a kid ages 5-11 they will have the happiest time of their lives.

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted is rated PG.

Critics Consensus: Prometheus

NOTE: This post will be more complicated then previous one's because this is a giant release for the movie industry. So why not have a giant post?
Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Prometheus a origin story movie about the Alien franchise.
 Plot:
Prometheus's plot is the beginning of the Alien franchise before the first movie Alien. Critics that hate the movie hate the plot and the script for example Slate Magazine but critics who loved the movie for example loved the script and the plot so the plot is basically a love\hate relationship here. Most critics also agreed that the ending was not satisfying also.
Acting:
New York Daily News agreed that Micheal Fassbender's performance was amazing and the best performance though it's not like the other actor's did a crappy job. The acting in Prometheus is solid it's just that Micheal Fassbender's performance stands out because in the movie his role is an android.
Special Effects:
The St. Louis Post Dispatch,Total Film and The Hollywood Reporter agreed that the 3-D is fantastic in the movie so basically we are not getting payed to see a movie with an awkward gimmick. The set-pieces are amazing and the aliens look better than any other movie in the series.
Overall:
While Prometheus questions about human life and does not answer those question's you might be a bit pissed off but the great acting and the suspense pull the movie to it's heights.
Overall if you want to see Prometheus run to the theater now. If you do not want to see it this movie is still worth your time just remember that it this will not beat the standards of the first Alien movie even though that one had crappy special effects.
Trailer:

Prometheus is rated R.

Critics Consensus: Inversion

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Inversion a new third person shooter in which you can flip the ground.
Here's another example of the E3 curse. Publishers spend time at E3 and forget about their games. Well that's why Inversion has a 56 on Metacritic. The game that was delayed many times should have been delayed yet again because here's what critics have to say about it. The highest review was a 60 from Official Xbox Magazine and the lowest from Eurogamer. Most reviews were in the 5 range. Game Informer stated that the Inversion thing was a gimmick and IGN complained too.
Overall if you got Max Payne 3 or Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier stay playing online with those games. Inversion is one game to be forgotten not bought.

Inversion is rated M.

Critics Conensus: Battlefield America

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Battlefield America a movie based on the teenage dance scene in America.
It's funny because Battlefield America sounds like a movie based off a popular first person shooter franchise. It is is not but it still sucks. Battlefield America has a 13% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 40 on Metacritic. Well examples of why this is  one of the worst movies of the month is the highest score was a 60 from Village Voice and the critics have complained about crappy editing and too many cliches.
Overall if you are looking for a music movie again just stay at home. Use your good ol pal called Netflix.

Battlefield America is rated PG-13.

Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Virtua Fighter 5:Final Showdown the newest installment in the Virtua Fighter franchise.
While E3 2012 is going on few people are excited about the games that come out this week. Well here's another reason why you should stick to watch livestreams of Microsoft and Ubisoft press conferences. Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown came out and it's meh....  Well why? IGN felt that the online capabilities did not work well and only one positive review has come out so far. It's more of the same basically and if you aren't a fan of Virtua Fighter what's the bother?
Overall skip this one. Unless you are trying to have a fighting game collection.

Virtua Fighter 5:Final Showdown is rated T.

Critics Consensus: For Greater Glory

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is For Greater Glory a new drama set in the 1920's.
As so many adaptations are being made these days few are about historical events. This one is called For Greater Glory and it has not gotten the best critical acclaim. The Chigaco Sun Times said it had good setpieces and effects but as we saw with Snow White And The Huntsman when a movie has slow pacing and a crappy script, the effects do not really matter.
Overall if you want to see this movie you can and you will learn a few things but that does not amount for the waste of time this movie is.

For Greater Glory is rated R.

My Personal Opinion:Men In Black III

NOTE: This is different than the posts we have on this blog because instead of the critics opinion this is my opinion. This time it is Men In Black III.
I was kinda excited to see this movie actually after the commercial made me think that this would be the worst movie of 2011. Thank god it wasn't. The movie starts really weird with a woman getting scanned for a cake to give to someone. I was confused if this was actually the right movie. Then you see Will Smith's face and you go whew. Don't keep that idea for long though because the movie has really crappy green screen and it feels cheesy and dated. I also hated the plot where the villain is going back in time to get his arm back. Seriously a stupid arm? It gets a bit better but mostly MIB3 feels mediocre and rushed. It is a bit fun to watch but the script is crappy too. I do agree that Josh Brolin's performance was amazing but not enough to save a mediocre movie. Overall Men In Black III is getting a 5.5 from me.

Critics Consensus: Piranha 3DD

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Piranha 3DD the sequel to 2010's Pirhana 3-D.
The Weinstein Company is known for making Oscar winning movies. Now it seems weird that they invested in a movie that has a 12% on Rotten Tomatoes. Well why is this movie so crappy? The average critics consensus for Piranha 3DD is that it has too many cameos and too little enjoyable scenes. Village Voice said it had crappy humor and Cinema Crazed said the movie was not fun to watch.
Overall please do not see this. Piranha's eating people used to be fun.

Piranha 3DD is rated R.

Critics Consensus: Mad Riders

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Mad Riders a new downloadable racing game made by Ubisoft.

Not that many racing games have came out this year and Ubisoft and techland worked to change that. Welcome Mad Riders into XBLA and PSN a new racer. Critics say Mad Riders is meh. It has had some positive reviews with a 66 on Metacritic but mostly the reviews have been in the 60's range. Why though? Well Game Informer said it was a good game it's just that it has no innovation while IncGamers said that it had disappointing tracks.
Overall if you want a new racer look somewhere else but if you are made of money this is not that bad.

Mad Riders is rated E.

Critics Consensus: Snow White and The Huntsman

NOTE: No posts were put on Friday because I had to see Men In Black III for a new series we will have on this blog. In order for my sincere apology there will be more posts than usual for your enjoyment.
Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Snow White And The Huntsman a new Snow White adapted movie.
There is more Snow White movies than usual this year. Usually its 1 or 0 movies. This year well it is 2. The second one is Snow White And The Huntsman a gritty take on the fairy tale. Well critics say this movie sucks. The New Movie Thing Show said the acting was good from Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron but otherwise they hated the movie. ReviewsOnTheRun felt Kristen Stewart was miscast and the movie was repetitive and had a terrible script. The only really good reviews was from Roger Ebert who said it had astonishing beauty and imagination. Though Roger Ebert should remember when a script sucks the whole falls apart.
Overall if you wanted to see this movie really bad just rent it. You will not regret it.

Snow White And The Huntsman is rated PG-13.
