I don't know if you remember but when the similar robot fighting movie Real Steel came out there was a god-awful video game tie-in for it. In fact Ben Silverman of Yahoo Games said it was the first time he had thrown a controller in fifteen years. Well I was looking at Pacific Rim's not so great reviews (40 or below from IGN, IGN Italia and even a 20 from DarkZero) and noticed that the company had made Real Steel. Oh no. This is gonna be one of those days isn't it? SpazioGames called it one of the worst fighting games on Xbox Live and Eurogamer Italy complained about the pacing. Overall do not get this game. (And I feel bad for saying this because Pacific Rim deserves some form of money after Grown Ups 2 destroyed it at the box office) Pacific Rim The Game is rated E10+.

What makes me really sad is that Pacific Rim opened up to lukewarm box office success due to the competitor that was Grown-Ups 2. Now this makes me hate Grown-Ups 2 and Adam Sandler even more but makes me love Pacific Rim even more. Pacific Rim is not your typical Godzilla fest because Del Toro wants it to have substance. Yes I was not emotionally attached to the characters for the whole time but I felt that I definitely was happy with what I was presented with. Oh yah. One last mention. If this movie was muted it would still be amazing because of the breathtaking special effects. Man it looks good. My only complaint is that it dragged a little at the end but to be honest I don't really care.

In 2011, Woody Allen hit it big with Midnight In Paris. In 2012 he made To Rome With Love a spiritual successor of sorts. But in 2013 he changed it after To Rome With Love was not a critical darling. Instead Blue Jasmine is a comedy drama. Will it be a turn of events for Allen? Blue Jasmine is looking to be a critical darling. Thankfully Blue Jasmine hits all the right notes. The performance from Cate Blanchett is amazing and even made the Wall Street Journal give the movie a 10\10 and USA Today called it one of Allen's best films in years. Good day to be a Woody Allen fan. Overall see this movie. Blue Jasmine is rated PG-13.

In 2006, Crash won for best picture. It was a good movie but some people argue it should not have won. Crash was a racial biopic and it was pretty good. But now Fruitvale Station a new movie about the Oscar Grant Bart murder, is now in movie form.
And it's pretty damn good. It's fierce intense performances (Micheal B. Jordan especially) and more than fleshed out script make Fruitvale Station a must-see. There is now way that this movie will not grasp a couple of Oscar nods or even Oscars. It's just that good.
Overall I don't care if you have to drive an hour to find this movie in a theater. You need to see it in one way or another now.

X-Men Origins:Wolverine was a gargantuan flop. It did bad with critics and audiences and thanks to bad word of mouth, 20th Century Fox did not have another Wolverine movie for four years. But Marvel is hitting it back with somewhat of a Wolverine reboot? Is this worse than Origins and have Wolverine's day's past or is it a big hitter for the summer.
Well based off of critics, neither. The Wolverine has gotten a lot of good reviews (Washington Post,Salon.com,Variety)mediocre reviews ( Arizona Republic,Empire, Total Film) and a lot of bad reviews. (Time Out New York,Film.Com,Time Out London.) It's certainly a mixed bag with good acting from Hugh Jackman and cool special effects but does cascade with a wonky script.

Usually if I see an animated movie it's PIXAR because they make the definition of quality. But Pixar has been kind of failing. I hated Cars 2 and Brave and Monsters University was OK. Thankfully the Despicable Me series came when Pixar was out of it's run and it's actually worth seeing in a theater crowded full of nine year olds. Yep I said it. I can stand all of those stupid cheers when the movie is actually that good. Thanks Universal.
Despicable Me 2 is getting a 9.0 out of 10 from me.

The Conjuring has been getting really good reviews and a really good audience reception. It's Warner Bros new big horror hit. But that seemed weird because it's made from the SAW creators. Well that does not matter because the Conjuring is that good. It's scary at every turn as ReviewsOnTheRun said and amazing acting as Time Out New York stated. The Conjuring might as well be this year's Cabin In The Woods. Overall just see it. The Conjuring is rated R.

In 2011 a little movie called Drive came out that knocked everybody's socks off and proved a successful acting career for Ryan Gosling. Drive had an amazing script, beautiful direction and an Oscar worthy performance from Ryan Gosling. When Only God Forgives was released at the Cannes Film Festival critics canned it. Now that the film is in more theaters we know thats because of it's dull script and a laughable story. (Cited:Washington Post) Let's just hope that Refn does not become the next Shyamalan and watch Drive again. Overall only see this movie if you really want to. Only God Forgives is rated R.

Turbo has not been doing so strong at the box office and maybe that's because a story about a snail is not compelling to audiences but it's more than that as the movie drags and is too long as The Playlist said and Decent Films Guide for complaining about no character development. Turbo might be somewhat of a fun movie to see with kids if you have them but it's certainly not a Despicable Me.

RED was great for it's over the top humour and intense action. It also had a cast of Bruce Willis and John Malkovich. What more could you ask for? A sequel? Well RED 2 has hit it into theaters and unfortunately its fallen to this weeks case of bad movie syndrome. It's obviously a quick cash in even though the actors are trying to make it more than that which is probably why it has a 40% but overall this just falls flat. Overall only see this if you want to. RED 2 is rated PG-13.

Thankfully Universal has farted out two original films in the same week. Well Turbo is just well, I'll talk about that travesty later but what about R.I.P.D? So uh R.I.P.D has not gotten a single positive review on Metacritic with critics like Variety and Entertainment Weekly stating it's dry script and Examiner.com said that the CGI was bountiful but too bountiful. R.I.P.D has not been racking in big numbers either. It's definitely this years Rock Of Ages. Overall no. Maybe a Netflix rental when you are drunk but even thats not satisfying the bad aftertaste this movie has. R.I.P.D is rated PG-13.

The game is a complete carbon copy of God Mode a game that the developers recently released.
Online Multiplayer levels are endless
One of Game Informer's editors called it worse than Ride To Hell:Retribution
The game has no tutorial or instruction
The aiming is sluggish as a dead horse.
The gameplay is repetitive and is basically the same every level with no new objectives.
Overall stay clear away from this one. It's no Ride To Hell but it's certainly atrocious.

NCAA Football games are usually drowned out by the annual Madden releases which sell millions of copies. Die hard football fans usually don't pay that much attention to NCAA after Madden is released but will this years NCAA change that? Sadly looks like this year's NCAA is just a regular NCAA. Yes it has gotten a few very positive reviews from Machinima and GamesRadar praising it's robust offering of modes and solid gameplay. However critics like IGN and Game Informer did not call NCAA Football 14 the full package for no gigantic improvements. Guess you can't please everyone. Overall only get this if you want to. You might make a horrible mistake this weekend. But if you're reading this you probably have not made that mistake and that is to see Grown-Ups 2 instead of Pacific Rim. Now Pacific Rim is not an amazing movie but is certainly worth your money. Here's why. Pacific Rim is a perfect movie for the summer. A Godzilla movie has not come out in a decade so Pacific Rim wants to bring a new twist to that. The problem about Pacific Rim that ReviewsOnTheRun and Slate stated is that there is no character development and it does not feel like anybody is in danger. Well too bad Game & Wario is a complete carbon copy of Nintendo Land. Some of the minigames are very fun like the midnight game like ReviewsOnTheRun stated but just like Nintendo Land it's only fun with a lot of people. No wonder it earned a 61 on Metacritic.

So Kalypso is a small production company. The biggest franchises they have are probably Tropico and Sins Of The Successor. Well Tropico 3 was probably their biggest hit. So the money they got from that they wanted to make a vampire stealth game called Dark. Holy Crap. GameInformer called Dark one of the worst games of this generation saying that Ride To Hell:Retribution was better than it. The AI is horrific,and the production costs are horribly bad. The plot starts and is never mentioned again and IGN said Vampire Rain was Metal Gear Solid compared to this. Overall just no. Just no. Dark is rated M.

You know a movie's bad when it's predictable in both ways. The Lone Ranger cost 250 million to make and audiences and critics alike thought it was not going to do very well. Well box office numbers have come in and its doing horribly and guess what to? The plot is also predictable.
The Lone Ranger is tedious, repetitive, and long. The movie looks good as NPR said and ReviewsOnTheRun praised Armie Hammer's performance but this movie was hellbound anyway. Now way to save it.
