Many people will be disappointed by The Hobbit. It's because it is not as epic as all the other Lord Of The Rings films. Too be honest I do not thing you should judge something by comparing. (Ex: Well Skyfall is a great movie but Casino Royale is better so Skyfall sucks) That is probably why I did not hate The Hobbit. It is well performed and the 48fps you will get used too. Trust me. My eyes nearly fell out of their sockets at the start of the film.
The Hobbit is rated PG-13.

Critics Consensus: Parental Guidance

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Parental Guidance a new comedy starring Billy Crystal.

Well Billy Crystal has not appeared in a movie since who knows when and that is usually a bad sign when you are coming back to Hollywood and producing another movie. Especially when it's a Christmas comedy. When was the last time that was good news?
Parental Guidance stars Billy Crystal and Bette Middler as grandparents taking care of their kids over the holidays. Most of the actors in the movie are talented child actors who have just fallen into a movie that will not diminish their career but not help it in anyway possible because Parental Guidance has only one positive review on Metacritic, called dated from Sun Online,and The Los Angeles Times calling the script lazy.
Overall do not see this movie. 
Parental Guidance is rated PG-13.

My Personal Opinion: The Wii U

Score: 8\10
I like the Wii U. It's a different change of pace and shows how gaming is evolving. However with this new system I feel like Nintendo is trying way too hard. The Wii was easy peasy lemon squeezy while this is more complicated. The other knock off I have about the Wii U is that the major selling point is the Gamepad. I showed it to someone and they had not seen the Gamepad yet. They said it looked exactly the same. 
These are the games I bought for the Wii U. In order of good-bad.

Critics Consensus: Les Miserables

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the movie version of Les Miserables.

When Les Miserables was getting scores a week ago they were mildly low. Hugh Jackman even said on 60 Minutes that the film would either be a hit or a miss. Well Mr.Jackman is a 64 a hit? No. It is not a miss though.
Les Miserables is based off the hit play of the same name. Why Les Miserables is so different is that it was not mouthed by actors. It was all live.
Rolling Stone did not care about the movies imperfections and said that the writing, humor, and special effects were incredible. Mike Scott of the New Orleans Times said that Les Miserables is a good film but it is also a love it or hate it film. Lastly Chicago Tribune gave it a nasty review criticizing the choreography.
Overall only see this movie if you wanna.

Critics Consensus: Django Unchained

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Django Unchained, Quentin Tarantino new movie.

It's odd that Quentin Tarantino's new movie comes out on Christmas Day. It is in no-what way related to the holiday season while other movies like Parental Guidance and Les Miserables are. However that does not judge the movie on a scale of 1-10.

What judges a movie like Django Unchained is the acting, writing and directing. Such critics as St.Louis Post Dispatch praised the writing and how it was dramatic and funny at the same time. For example Django shooting a person and then saying "I like the way you die". Such great acting as when Leonardo DiCaprio was interviewed about the movie by On The Red Carper saying that he hated playing the character. Though now he is getting Oscar buzz.

Overall see this movie.

Critics Consensus: The Impossible

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is The Impossible a new action drama with Naomi Watts and Ewan Mcgregor.

At the beginning of the year it was not looking like a good year for 2012. Movie related not apocalypse related. Over time more and more amazing movies came out. The Impossible looks like it will be one of the last. It is already getting Oscar buzz.
The Impossible is about a family vacation getting interrupted by a flash flood. It seems mediocre but it's acting and direction as prasied by The New York Observer make it all worth while. It may not have the best screenplay as Rotten Tomatoes suggested but every thing else make it worth while. Chicago Sun Times gave it a 10\10 for Pete's Sake.
Overall see this movie. That is if you can find a theater that this movie is playing at. It is in very limited release. If so, I am so envious.
The Impossible is rated PG-13.

Critics Consensus: The Guilt Trip

Oh hey Seth Rogen! I nearly forgot about you! Actually I did. Oh your starring in this movie? Imma walk away now.
The Guilt Trip is about Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand. Streisand is Rogen's mom and they go on a road trip. Typical holiday movie that everybody forgets about. My evidence is that it has a 36% percent, being not called funny by Globe And Mail,Christian Science Monitor saying that Rogen and Streisand have no chemistry and Time Out New York calling the script lazy.
Overall do not see this movie. Im sorry Seth. This did not go well.
The Guilt Trip is rated PG-13.

Critics Consensus: Jack Reacher

Some people think Tom Cruise is a crazy after his fiasco with Katie Holmes and Scientology. However if you say he makes a lot of bad movies I will punch you in the face. A couple of critics will join me.
Jack Reacher has an average plot about some sniper doing some sniper stuff. Tom Cruise can save this movie right? The answer is a 61%. Wow you barely saved that. Why? Well The Hollywood Reporter said that the performance was what saved the movie and also the amazing fighting cinematography. If you can kick a person that hard well Wow. The thing that shoots Jack Reacher in the face is it's cliches, and every critic hated it for that. Cough Wall Street Journal Cough.
Overall only see this movie if you wanna.

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is This is 40 the sort of sequel to Knocked Up. Or as the commercials like to call it.

Well this movie came out of nowhere. " Hey we're making a sequel to Knocked Up! (Well Sort Of).
This is 40 is about the characters Pete and Debbie and as they turn 40. Luckily This Is 40 does not have an ironic score (40) but it still has not a good one. (58) Entertainment Weekly gave one of the few highly positive reviews (Ohh , Entertainment Weekly) saying that when This is 40 is funny it is comedy gold. It has good acting as Christian Science Monitor explained but overall This Is 40 is a disappointment to Knocked Up fans. It does not have the heart or soul.
Overall only see this movie if you wanna.

Critics Consensus: Zero Dark Thirty

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Zero Dark Thirty the new movie from the director of The Hurt Locker, Katherine Bigelow.

Well the time has come. The sort of spiritual successor to The Hurt Locker has been released. As expected it's frackin amazing. 

The Onion's A.V. Club praised that the narrative in the movie locks a dangerous power to beat other movies into the ground.  Big Picture Big Sound loved the character direction and also the the newly released character "Maya".  The most dominant thing about Zero Dark Thirty is it's directional style. To closed camera footage to dramatic scenes this film has it all.

Overall see this movie. It is only limited in theaters now but on January 5th your brains will be blown out of your skull. 

Zero Dark Thirty is rated R.

My Personal Opinion: Borderlands 2

I was warned before I played Borderlands 2 that it would have amazing humor. Something very rare in video games. It has that and just about everything else that makes a great game. Great story telling, innovative gameplay and graphics and fabulous controls. I wish this game never ended. The only dire strait I have of this game is the shop system. I lost all my guns at one point and I did not know why. That sucked.
Borderlands 2 is an 9 out of 10.
(This is why I gave it best shooter)

The Hobbit was all over the place with reviews. Sadly the new Lord of The Rings game is too. Some sites like ReviewsOnTheRun and SmoshGames are giving this game 6's and 5's while other sites like ZTGameDomain and Gamer's Temple are giving it 90's. It's fun and the multiplayer components are neat but the environments are bland and characters have very simple attacks. So this is only for you if you if you want to get it. Like if you are a Lord of The Rings fan.
Overall only get this game if you want to.

Critics Consensus: The Hobbit

Plot\Writing:
Before I start off on why the writing is good or bad in The Hobbit as explained by critics I just want to say this movie is a wild card. One of the biggest movies of the year it holds a 58 on Metacritic. :\ The Playlist praised that the film was emotional but Rotten Tomatoes Critics Consensus said that many critics thought it was slow paced. Uh oh.
Acting:
SourceFed's new movie thing show said that Andy Serkis's motion capture was the best acting in the movie and every performance was amazing and if a critic gave this movie a low score it was not about the acting.
Special Effects:
The Washington Post surprisingly called the film cheesy and other critics such as Globe And Mail said that the film's new fps (frames per second which is 42) looked horrible.
Overall:
Only see this movie if you want to. This will be a major disappointment to some people.

Critics Consensus:Playing For Keeps

Every year there's the big holiday season. This game is coming out OMG! This movie is coming out OMG! In those weeks there is always,always a week were it is the RollerCoaster at CrapLand. This week Playing For Keeps came out to negative reception. 2% on Rotten Tomatoes, was called a mess by the Arizona Republic,and Richard Reoper called it's comedy and writing lousy.
Overall you should take a bullet than have to see this movie. It's that bad.

Critics Consensus: Far Cry 3

Graphics:
Eurogamer praised the amazing landscapes of the island that is the main setting of the game,Eurogamer Sweden said something similar saying that the island was beautiful and lastly Meristation sampled the great frame rate.
Gameplay:
Giant Bomb gave it five stars out of five stars exclaiming that it was the most fun they have had in an open world game for ages,Telegraph said that the vast and immense island was the best thing about the game and Smosh Games praised all the different ways to kill enemies  There is seriously like 100 of those.
Other (Plot,Sound)
The bad thing about Far Cry 3 is the boring story. Yes Vaas is an interesting villain but the game's story could be better as Telegraph, Cheat Code Central, and MondoXbox stated.
Overall:
It would be stupid not to get this game. Juss saying.

Critics Consensus: The Collection

Every time I make a post on this blog I try to make it original and unique. It's hard to make a new post every other week because every other week is a crappy horror movie. The Collection is a collection of crap. It's dull and repetitive as stated by The Washington Post, The San Francisco Chronicle gave it a 0 and said it was not scary,The New York Times called it pointless, and do I really have to go on with this? This movie is horrible  That's pretty damn obvious.

Critics Consensus: Killing Them Softly

Killing Them Softly is a new crime thriller with Brad Pitt. The title Killing Them Softly sounds like some iconic movie like Goodfellas or The Godfather. It isn't Why? SourceFed's Trisha Hershberger complained that the film was too gory but ReviewsOnTheRun's Scott C Jones said the movie had great pacing and acting but it would only be a good film if it had indie actors. The dialogue and acting in Killing Them Softly is good too as Christian Science Monitor explained. Killing Them Softly just is not an amazing movie.

Critics Consensus: ZombiU

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is ZombiU the new survival horror game for the Wii U.

Most launch titles coming out for the Wii U are purely unoriginal. Most are ports or sequels or ripoffs. ZombiU is something different. In ZombiU you make a character. Let's say I make a character named Quincy Higgins. Once he dies he will be in the universe of a different player trying to kill them. In fact ReviewsOnTheRun's Scott C Jones praised that of the game and said that it was addictive. However The Toronto Globe And Mail complanied that when you start your first few characters there really is not that many weapons to choose from and EGM said that it had too much unclear instructions.

Overall only get this game if you want to.

My Personal Opinion: LEGO Lord Of The Rings

NOTE: Game of the Year will be covered in December.

I love the LEGO games. Well most of the time. Luckily this is not the case. LEGO Lord Of The Rings spans all three LOTR movies in Lego form. I wish they added the upcoming The Hobbit but I guess that would take more time. The gameplay is pretty fun and surprisingly they made it like a third person Skyrim for kids. Kinda. When you're done with levels you can continue or do fetch quests and other stuff. The worst thing about this game is that you have to look for all the characters before you buy them. They added that in Lego Batman 2 but now it is even more difficult. Seriously I finished the story and the only character I found was Bilbo Baggins.

My Personal Opinion: The Life Of Pi

I have read the Life Of Pi. I love the book. The movie is OK. The movie is beautiful and candy for your eyes and the person sitting next to my actually asked if the tiger is real. It is not by the way. The scipt is good but the main part is that the film has no attention to detail. For example an orangutan throws up and when you look where he threw up there is no vomit. They also change the film's ratio to widescreen to flatscreen to many times to count. God that is annoying.

Critics Consensus:Rise Of The Guardians

.Well there's good news and bad news if you are going to see Rise Of The Guardians this weekend. The good news is that it is not horrid. Though it's not up to par with Pixar movies either. Rotten Tomatoes praised that it was a elementary school version of The Avengers, Laramie Movie Scope loved the moral of the story but the main problem about this movie is that if you are an adult half way through you will get a little bit bored and it might mimic you a bit as TIME magazine expelled.
Overall see this movie if you have kids. If you are a kid how the heck did you get here?
Rise Of The Guardians is rated PG.

Critics Consensus: Playstation All Stars Battle Royale

When Playstation All Stars Battle Royale was announced everybody was bitching about how it was a rip-off of Smash Bros. Well it is not because it is not as fun as Smash Bros as SmoshGames suggested as well as MetroGameCentral and EuroGamer. Some critics also complained about how you could only buy characters free for a limited amount of time and Gamereactor Denmark said the game was only fun with friends and the single player was monotone.
Overall do not buy this game. I do not care if Nathan Drake is in it. Do not buy it.

Critics Consensus: Life Of Pi

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Life Of Pi a reincarnation of a supposedly unfilmable book.

I was chipper for this movie unlike my friends because I had read the book and they had read the book. They thought it was unfilmable. I wish I had placed a bet because Life Of Pi is getting extremely good reviews. The Toronto Globe And Mail said it was Ang Lee's best movie and Ang Lee has a lot of good movies so wow. Roger Ebert called it one of the best films of the year well because it's got amazing acting,script, and emotional districts. Go see this movie now.
Overall run to the theater and if you do not have money well I feel so sorry for you :(
Life Of Pi is rated PG.

Critics Consensus: Hitman Absulotion

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new Hitman game. The first one in six years to be exact.

Graphics:

Meristation said that there was superb graphics and in Smosh Games staple show Dope or Nope they praised that the graphics had very good realism. The graphics are amazing. Maybe some of the best of the year.

Gameplay:

IGN praised that the game wants you to take multiple angles of finishing the level just like Dishononored. (For Example one level killing everybody and another killing only one.)Planet Xbox 360 praised the new Contracts mode but RoosterTeeth found it a bit confusing. Oh also Polygon said it was a hell of a good time.

Other (Plot,Sound):

Telegraph gave the only negative review saying that the plot was starched and if anybody gave it a bad score it was usually because the plot was not on par with the gameplay. Everyeye.it praised the multiplayer expressing that it was a good addition to the Hitman series.

Overall:

Get this game man. If you do not well you are really missing out big time.

Critics Consensus: Red Dawn

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Red Dawn a remake of 1984's Red Dawn.

Red Dawn has a weird demographic. It will only be seen because Josh Hutcherson was in it and he was also in the Hunger Games. I bet most people that see this movie do not even know that it is a remake. That also explains why Red Dawn has an 11% on Rotten Tomatoes. It is not Silent Hill 2 bad but it is still pretty bad. The Philadelphia Inquirer said that the script was laughably bad, The New York Daily News stated that the acting was horrible and Chris Hemsworth's performance was the only good performance in the entire movie. Wow. That says a lot.

Overall do not see this movie.

Critics Consensus Special: The New Wii U

Overall Console:
CNET praised that it ambitious but it needed the time to grow as a console,Engadget said the console was good but there were very little apps and ReviewsOnTheRun's Scott C Jones said that the console was amazing but Nintendo threw too many things in their face. For example if you buy a Wii U you get a Wii U Pro Controller, A Gamepad, and a regular Wii U Controller. That's a lot. Overall wait for Christmas to get this when more games have been released but if you want to buy it buy it.
Nintendo Land:
The release of Nintendo land was pretty skeptical but reviews have been mostly positive. The lowest score was a 65 which is not horrid but the highest score was an 87 which is solid. It's not like you have a choice to get this game or not when you buy this console but, this will be fun for the whole family or friends or whatever. (Example's taken from IGN, Metacritic and EGM)
Super Mario Bros U.:
Super Mario Bros U is definitely the best game on the Wii U so far. Gamespot complained about it's lack of originality but pretty much every critic has been like "BUY THIS GAME NOW." "Cough Game Informer Cough."
Overall:
Get this system now if you really want it but you should probably get it for Christmas. Don't disagree with me this thing is sold out everywhere.

When Jennifer Lawrence starred in The House At The End Of The Street everybody was looking forward to her performance in Silver Linings Playbook. Because HATES sucks. Well the accompanying anticipation was right. Silver Linings Playbook currently has a Universal Acclaim on Metacritic, six critics gave it a 10\10 and it was given a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes. This happened because Silver Linings Playbook has excellent acting,script and enjoyable. Those comments came from hollywoodchicago.com, Empire Magazine and The Los Angeles Times.

Steven Spielberg is at it again. This time with a biopic about Lincoln. Salon.com praised Sally Field's performance as Mary Lincoln,Boston Globe said it made politics exciting,and lastly Chicago Sun Times praised the film's attention to detail. However ReviewsOnTheRun's Scott C. Jones said it felt like five hours instead of one and was boring. If you want to see the movie get prepared.
So overall only see this movie if you want to.

Critics Consensus: Epic Mickey 2

In 2010 a game came out called Epic Mickey. It was released to mixed reviews but the average was like a 72 which is OK. They released a sequel today in case you knew which you probably did not know because it was released with no commercial production. Anyway this game sucks. Destructoid gave it a 2\10 saying that it was a horrid waste of time,SpazioGames complained about the games bad mechanics and IGN said it was to glitchy.
Overall only get this game if you really want to.

Critics Consensus: Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2

The Twilight movies have been aggressively criticized for many reasons. Crappy story, bad acting, the list goes on and on. Thankfully it's over for good. Surprisingly this film is not getting bad reviews. Rotten Tomatoes said it was the most enjoyable movie in the series,and Rolling Stone agreed. The Hollywood Reporter gave it an 8.0 and said it would only be enjoyable for the appropriate demographic. 11-15 year old girls.
Overall only see this movie if you want to.
Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 is rated PG-13.

Critics Consensus: Call of Duty: Black Ops-Declassified

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new Call Of Duty game.

Hey guess what? Activision made a new Call Of Duty for the one fan that has a Playstation Vita. Oh and remember that troll that was saying that every COD game was the same? He was wrong but not for the portable versions. Last years port of COD on the DS did not get one positive review and the trend continues with Call of Duty:Black Ops Declassified. Meristation called it the worst game in the Call Of Duty series,Giant Bomb gave it a 2\10 and Game Informer called it an absolute mess. Why? The single player is poor and short, the multi player maps are so small that every player is literally crammed into a room and lastly and no content.
Overall do not get this game. If you want to waste fifty dollars fine by me.

I am kinda a newcomer to the James Bond franchise. In fact I have only seen the last two movies. So take my opinion as a grain of rice. The movie starts off with James Bond doing his regular crap and then he accidentally gets assassinated by one of his coworkers. He then comes back from his secret life in the Caribbean of sex and fun and works to solve another case. Once the shower scene is over the movie starts to get super suspenseful.  I was on the edge of my seat. I do not want to spoil the ending but it is a shocking one. Go see this movie now. You will not regret it.
Also Javier Bardem's performance is amazing.
Skyfall is rated PG-13.

Critics Consensus: Call Of Duty Black Ops II

Graphics:
SmoshGames said that the graphics were slightly improved while doing their Dope Or Nope of the game and Canadian Online Gamers complained of the sixty frames per second saying it could be better frame rate compared to other triple A games out there. Cough, Mass Effect, Cough. Overall the graphics will not surprise you but not disappoint you.
Gameplay:
There is always the controversial topic that very Call Of Duty game is the same with little improvements. I am going to say that is not true though some people will not agree with me. VideoGamer said the single player was piss poor but the multiplayer made up for it. Gamespot on the other hand said the single player was good and praised the Zombies mode. They still have not removed the annoying swearing eight year old kids. Sorry about that.
Other (Sound,Plot):
Joystiq said the story was lackluster and lukewarm but the multiplayer made up for it and MetroGameCentral said that it was one of the best COD's because it was so ambitious.
Overall:
Only get this game if you want to.

Writing\Plot:

SourceFed's Meg Turney stated that the plot of this movie focuses more on M and she liked that and praised that. The A.V Club said that the drama is one of the best things about the movie and finally NPR acclaimed the character development.

Acting:

The Austin Chronicle thought Daniel Craig's acting was good but to reminiscent of Christian Bale's performance as Batman in the Dark Knight Rises. Cinema Writer said that Daniel Craig was out of shape and there needed to be a new Bond. Nevertheless most critics like The New York Times said that this movie shows that Daniel Craig is the best Bond. I just wanted to show the diversity between these critics.

Other:

Killer Movie Reviews commended the villain in Skyfall saying it might be the best Bond villain ever. In cinematography heights, Looking Closer said that this was the best cinematography in a Bond movie.

Overall:

Go see this movie now. See it with your friends, see it with your family, see it with your dog. (Just Kidding.) Everybody will enjoy this movie.
