Even though Nes Remix was kind of shyed down by critics, it has become a hit amongst WiiU owners. Leaderboards are crowded and the game has amassed an impressive fanbase. It may be the best selling Eshop game of all time! So is Nes Remix a one trick pony? Lets find out!!

Apparently it does. It has a Metacritic score about ten points higher than the original and has been praised for it's assortment of new games,new direction,and overall creative features. Some of the games are weak but most critics like Destructoid and Game Revolution have praised that the strongest ones propel the sequel to new heights. Now that's impressive!

Overall get this game.

Critics Consensus The Review Detective:Yoshis New Island

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the all new Yoshis New Island!

A Nintendo game is getting mixed reviews?! And it's not a Mario Party or Wii Party?! Better call the Nintendo Police BRING BRIIIIING BIING No seriously why is this happening? Let's look into it on a special edition of Critics Consensus called Critics Consensus:The Review Detective. If you had a better name you could tell me!!

Any way Yoshis New Island surprisingly isn't made in house. It's made by some developer called Arzest who has only made 3DS Mii features. Some Employees from Arzest worked on Yoshis Island DS, which is pretty good but the 3DS is more advanced technology and things always change overtime. Also it seems like this game was rushed which feels very rare for a Nintendo game I might add because critics such as Pocket Gamer UK and IGN have complained about the easy difficulty and uninspired gameplay. GameInformer and Edge even gave it some of the lowest scores of the bunch and said the 3D and graphics were shoddy.

Well not every 3DS game can be good right? Hopefully Nintendo doesn't take all the blame on this one.

Overall only get this game if you want to.

Critics Consensus:Donkey Kong Country Returns:Tropical Freeze

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Donkey Kong!

Although Donkey Kong is still a relevant franchise today thanks to  Donkey Kong Country:Returns for the Wii which was great but really friggin hard it's had some troubles. It had a lousy overhyped appearance at VGX and was delayed 4 months ahead. Let's see if all this trouble is Nintendo's business or we are just going bananas.

Nope. We are definitely getting ahold of ourselves. Donkey Kong Country Returns:Tropical Freeze is anything somebody could have asked for from a Donkey Kong game. All the way from precise controls, HD graphics, varied enemy types, challenging but entertaining boss battles and great level structure Donkey Kong doesn't really have something to hate about. It's gotten 3 tens from critics like Cobrainon Games, Gaming Age, and Destructoid and has an 82 on Metacritic. This one's definitely a keeper.

Critics Consensus:Wii Fit U

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the all new Wii Fit U!

Wii Fit was necessarily a hit because of the all new Balance Board gimmick and the Wii selling like hotcakes at the time but it feels like no one really wants a new Wii Fit. It's not like Nintendo can never knock anything out of the park but Wii Party U was also a sequel and received lukewarmly so let's check it out.

A lot of people (critics and Nintendo fans alike) find it weird that Nintendo is putting resources into a Wii Fit instead of a new WiiU IP. Wii U Fit is not a bad game in any point or means and there are some enjoyable parts but overall it's more of the same as critics such as GamesRadar and MetroGameCentral have said. You also have to buy a Balance Board so it's 90 bucks. Now I know why Polygon gave it a 4.5\10.

Overall only get this if you really want to.

Critics Consensus:NES Remix

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is an all new way to play your classic Nintendo games on the HD screen!

NES Remix was one of the plentiful ambitious game announcements from the latest Nintendo Direct. It was also bundled with Hyrule Warriors,Kirby Triple Deluxe,Yoshi's New Island, and Dr.Luigi. The problem is the big surprise of the night Hyrule Warriors won't come out until late 2014 so we really have nothing to keep us busy as no new games pretty much come out this month. So let's take a look at NES Remix. Let's see if it's worth your time.

Unlike Super Mario 64,Goldeneye 64,Metal Gear Solid,and Starcraft NES games somewhat stand the test of time. You can still find fun in classics like Contra and Jackal. Unfortunately most of these titles aren't given any HD treatment. So NES Remix is here to help. NES Remix is pure nostalgia and in that regard it shines as plenty of critics such as Destructoid,IGN and Vandal Online have said. Unfortunately the game is 15 bucks as grained on by The Escapist and Joystiq who called it a downright scam. The problem is probably  that NES Remix has no depth. But if you still don't own a NES, this might be the way to go.

Overall only get this game if you want to.

Critics Consensus:Bravely Default

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new Square Enix role-playing game that isn't Final Fantasy!

The Nintendo 3DS has had an amazing year with great games like Fire Emblem:Awakening,Luigi's Mansion 2,A Legend Of Zelda: Link Between Worlds, and Pokemon X and Y. Now Square Enix wants to shove a new great 3DS title at the end of the year and it looks like December is actually worth it.

Multiplayer.it called Bravely Defualt a superb game as many other critics have said such as Vandal Online,NintendoWorldReport and SpazioGames too. This is probably due to Bravely Default bringing the JRPG back to it's roots, an amazing combat system and it feels like Final Fantasy without the convoluted plot and all the sequels.

Overall pick this one up ladies and gentlemen. This really shouldn't be an underrated title.

Critics Consensus:Super Mario 3D World

A lot of gamers might call it Microsoft's week due to the all new Xbox One but it seems like Nintendo might beat them out with their new Mario Party:Island Tour,Super Mario 3D World, and Legend Of Zelda:Link Between Worlds. I am not kidding. This is Nintendo's strongest week in nearly a decade. But without further ado let's get into it.
While not as amazing as the classic Super Mario 64 was this new Super Mario 3D World is a damn good try at it. It's gotten countless perfect scores and been called the greatest next gen game of  this year by Edge. It's colorful,amusing and downright fun as hell. This game alone justifies a WiiU. Critics Consensus:The Legend Of Zelda:A Link Between Worlds

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the all new Legend Of Zelda!

While all the recent Zelda games(Phantom Hourglass, Twilight Princess,Skyward Sword) have been amazing and a great experience to spend sixty dollars there has not been one in a while that brings the nostalgia back. Well it looks like Nintendo is listening to our requests as this new Zelda is supposed to stay true to it's SNES roots. Let's see if the magic really does live up.
Some that say Nintendo should create new franchises can be wrong because it seems like they are killing it with their latest entries in Mario,Zelda and Pikmin. The Legend Of Zelda:A Link Between Worlds currently has a 90 on Metacritic meaning universal acclaim. It's been praised from every critic you know such as Gaming Age who called it the best Zelda since Ocarina Of Time not only due to it's nostalgia factor but due to it's new features,great dungeon design and simple but beautiful graphics.
Overall get this game. Yep you are gonna be spending a lot this weekend.

Critics Consensus:Wii Party U

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new Wii Party!

For many families Wii Party,Wii Fit and Wii Music was the thing that got the Wii going for them and became the go to game because of it's fun, creative and quirky minigames. Wii Party was'nt really much to begin with but now Nintendo wants to make another one for the WiiU. We all know how Game & Wario went and it's blatantly obvious that Wii Party U is just 
meh. Yes that's right and I don't think I really offended anyone. Even critics agree with me. Some more than others like how Shacknews gave it a 3\10 while Lazygamer gave it a 65. It's because that Wii Party U is uninspired and boring compared to hit classics, it's formed over quantity vs quality and how there is only a few good minigames.
Overall do not get this game unless you really want to.

Critics Consensus:The Legend Of Zelda Wind Waker HD

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new HD Zelda!

Many Zelda's have come out and some like Link's Adventure and Phantom Hourglass have been long forgotten into the shadows but others like Ocarina Of Time and Wind Waker have stood the test of time. Now Wind Waker is coming out in HD to boost WiiU sales. Let's see if it holds up.

The Legend Of Zelda:Wind Waker HD excels in almost every way. As EurogamerSweden said the remastered visuals still look good today and the whimsical storyline makes you feel as if you were a kid again. The gameplay is smooth and fun and even something like the dastardly water temple won't get in the way of your happiness.

Overall get a WiiU for this game. If you have already experienced the magic, wait till the new Smash Bros comes out till shelling 300 dollars.

Critics Consensus:Mario & Luigi:Dream Team

Nintendo has been really heavy on 3DS titles lately with hits like Luigi's Mansion 2:Dark Moon, Animal Crossing:New Leaf and Fire Emblem:Awakening. Now it's bringing a new role playing Mario franchise to the 3DS about crossing dimensions.
Well Nintendo does not fail yet again (3DS that is) Dream Team has an 82 on Metacritic with critics praising it's fun unique role playing gameplay unlike any Mario game. The only knock-off is that it's very long with a whopping thirty hours as Vandal Online said. But usually fun rules all.
Overall get this game.

Critics Consensus:Pikmin 3

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the long awaited Pikmin 3!

Pikmin is one of Nintendo's most loved franchises by a longshot. It was originally showed on the Gamecube to present the groundbreaking technology that was up to one hundred and twenty AI's. Pikmin was eventually released and was acclaimed by many. Then Pikmin 2 came out and then the Pikmin franchise fell to sleep for about a decade. Well Pikmin 3 is finally out. Let's hope it's actually worth that wait.
Pikmin 3 has not gotten a single negative or mixed review according to Metacritic. The game holds a 87 and is the highest rated game for the WiiU so far. This game is so good it could potentially save the WiiU. Telegraph praised the gameplay in which you don't multitask and think smartly most of your Pikmin will perish. GameInformer also rewarded Pikmin 3 a good review due to it's co-op story and co-op versus modes. This game is a monolith.
Overall get this game. If you don't have a WiiU get a WiiU. It's that good.

Critics Consensus: Game & Wario

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new Wario game!

Nintendo Land came out last year for the Wii U and it was somewhat of a hit. However it was not critically acclaimed due to not being enough games for a party player group. Well Nintendo wants to give us something to chew before Nintendo Land's DLC. So let's give it a try.

Well too bad Game & Wario is a complete carbon copy of Nintendo Land. Some of the minigames are very fun like the midnight game like ReviewsOnTheRun stated but just like Nintendo Land it's only fun with a lot of people. No wonder it earned a 61 on Metacritic.

Overall only get this if you want to.

Critics Consensus:Animal Crossing:New Leaf

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new Animal Crossing. Yes the one we have all been waiting for!

Animal Crossing:New Leaf was originally announced as a 3DS launch title. After numerous delays it's finally here. There has not been an Animal Crossing game in years so can this work out?
Animal Crossing:New Leaf has no points or levels. So it's pretty interesting it's getting such good reviews like an 87 on Metacritic, and an 100 from Game Revolution. It's charmful,fun,creative and everything else you could want from an Animal Crossing game.
Overall get this game.

Critics Consensus: Luigi's Mansion:Dark Moon

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the sequel to the 2001 hit Luigi's Mansion!

Nintendo said that 2013 would be the year of Luigi. Well looks like it's off to a great start. Nintendo has recently been rehashing old franchises and I can not wait until Mario Hockey rolls in so we can end it but maybe we don't because Luigi's Mansion has a 86 on Metacritic.
Luigi's Mansion is unlike any other Mario game and is exquisitely unique as Telegraph said. Destructoid also praised the addictive multiplayer and said that it was better than the singleplayer. To put it in other words, it's like a new Nintendo Land.
Overall you have to get this game. Fire Emblem and this are the reason to get a 3DS.
Luigi's Mansion 2 is rated E.

Critics Consensus: Fire Emblem: Awakening

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new Fire Emblem game.

Fire Emblem: Awakening is a noticeable release for any Nintendo 3DS owner. Why? Well it was originally supposed to be released as a launch title for the 3DS back in 2011 then was delayed to early 2012 and was delayed another year to Q1 2013. It's finally out of development hell and surprisingly it has a 91 on Metacritic. That means universal acclaim.
Fire Emblem: Awakening is so good that there has not been a single negative review for it. Not even a review that is an 8.0! It was called the reason to buy a 3DS from The Escapist, IGN said that it had the best production value for a 3DS game yet, and NintendoWorldReport praised the fluid gameplay and not encountering a single glitch or bug in the whole game. Lastly GamesBeat praised the writing.
Overall I think you should buy this game. If your'e birthday is coming up and you do not have a 3DS. Well it's pretty obvious the first game you should purchase.

Critics Consensus Special: The New Wii U

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the Wii U!

Overall Console:
CNET praised that it ambitious but it needed the time to grow as a console,Engadget said the console was good but there were very little apps and ReviewsOnTheRun's Scott C Jones said that the console was amazing but Nintendo threw too many things in their face. For example if you buy a Wii U you get a Wii U Pro Controller, A Gamepad, and a regular Wii U Controller. That's a lot. Overall wait for Christmas to get this when more games have been released but if you want to buy it buy it.
Nintendo Land:
The release of Nintendo land was pretty skeptical but reviews have been mostly positive. The lowest score was a 65 which is not horrid but the highest score was an 87 which is solid. It's not like you have a choice to get this game or not when you buy this console but, this will be fun for the whole family or friends or whatever. (Example's taken from IGN, Metacritic and EGM)
Super Mario Bros U.:
Super Mario Bros U is definitely the best game on the Wii U so far. Gamespot complained about it's lack of originality but pretty much every critic has been like "BUY THIS GAME NOW." "Cough Game Informer Cough."
Overall:
Get this system now if you really want it but you should probably get it for Christmas. Don't disagree with me this thing is sold out everywhere.

Critics Consensus: New Super Mario Bros 2

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new Mario game.

Last year the highest acclaimed title on the 3DS was you guessed it, a Mario game. Nintendo is trying to do that again this time with New Super Mario Bros 2. According to EDGE Magazine,Eurogamer Sweden and 3DJuegos it is more of the same if that is necessarily a bad thing. Modojo said that fans would love this game but IGN was disappointed that there was nothing new in the game. The lowest review was a 6 out of 10 but the highest one was a 91.
Overall it still is fun with great gameplay and controls but if you are not a Mario fan who owns a 3DS this is not a buy.

New Super Mario Bros 2 is rated E.

Critics Consensus: Mario Tennis Open

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Mario Tennis Open the newest Mario sports game.

Mario has created a bucketload of sports games,literally. So when Nintendo though about it why not release a 3D tennis Mario? Well, Mario Tennis Open has been getting OK reviews. On the plus side was ReviewsOnTheRun,GameInformer, and Gaming Age.  On the negative side was DigitalSide, Gamespot, and Games Radar. All critics felt the game was fun and enjoyable and it did not have those annoying perks there is in every Mario sports game. Though almost all critics also said that the game didn't offer enough content for 40$. 
Overall if you are a Mario fan what are you waiting for? If you own a 3DS and need a good sports game, just please rent this. 40$ isn't worth 2 hours of gameplay.

Critics Consensus: Ketzal's Corridors

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Ketzal's Corridors a downloadable puzzle game for the Nintendo 3DS.

Ketzal's Corridors is a puzzle game about trying to restore a world by collecting hearts in different stages. Ketzal's Corridors has received mostly positive reviews the highest from IGN and the lowest from Eurogamer Spain. It has a 78 on Metacritic so that means it is good. The good things about the game are it makes good use of the 3D effect, has cool puzzles and is fun. The problem's are it's a bit expensive and is not addicting and and stressful at times.
Overall if you have a 3DS are a puzzle fan and want to shell some moola in order to get a cool game that is fun, you should get this.
