Critics Consensus:How To Survive (WiiU)

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the all new top down twinstick zombie shooter How To Survive!
There's been a lot of buzz around How To Survive for the WiiU lately mainly because it's gonna be a port of an overlooked zombie survival game that came out back in December and it's gonna be published by 505 Games. Yep, the same guys that made Sniper Elite for the WiiU without any multiplayer,DLC,or co-op. Ya you guys are really trying to support the WiiU here. Anyway let's see what the critics think about:How To Survive!
Unfortunately How To Survive contains little to no improvements of the old 360,PS3,and PC versions. Critics like Digitally Downloaded  complained about the game being nothing more than a little bit of dumb fun and nothing more then that. Nintendo Life also said that the game trying to be in the middle of the chaotic zombie frenzied shooter genre and the open world survival genre doesn't help it that much actually. While it's one of the better versions of the game,How To Survive still falls flat. Better luck next time Evo Software.
Overall only get this game if you want to.
How To Survive is rated M.

Critics Consensus:Tiny Brains

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the all new co-op puzzle platformer Tiny Brains!
Tiny Brains was one of the titles Sony deliberately featured during their E3 press conference. It was a puzzle platformer that was heavily hyped and set to be the best 2013 co-op experience of the PS4. Unfortunately it got delayed from the launch and disappeared. But now it's back out of nowhere and let's check if it's any good and what Sony promised!
Tiny Brains is about a bunch of lab rats trying to solve complex puzzles with friends! And we all know how Trine went. It's not a Scott Pilgrim or Castle Crashers by any means as stated by Joystiq but it's still a fun co-op experience that is well worth the money. Only problem is it's a little bit on the short side.
Overall only get Tiny Brains if you want to.
Tiny Brains is rated E10+.

One Of The Worst:Takedown: Red Sabre

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new tactical shooter Takedown:Red Sabre!
It's sad because Takedown:Red Sabre had a really cool game and it had a really good showing at PAX. However this is sad because the game had so much potential at the showings it was presented at and looked like another blockbuster FPS for 505 (They already have Payday and Sniper Elite) Unfortunately a cool name does not make everything good. Let's see some of the examples Takedown:Red Sabre fails in every way.
  • AI is nearly non-existent (only reacts to certain weapons)
  • Single player will randomly crash because of multiplayer server issues
  • The game does not shut down on it's own and you have to close it on Task Manager.
  • No tactical options as the E3 Demos promised
  • No proper options menu for PC players
  • Shooting is clunky

Overall do not buy this game.
Takedown:Red Sabre is rated M.

Critics Consensus:Payday 2

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the sequel to the hit Payday!
The original Payday:The Heist was a hit. Sure it was pretty buggy, did not have the best AI, and was kind of repetitive but it was a breath of fresh air from all the military shooters that came out in 2011. Well Overkill was happy with the results so they decided to go all out with a sequel.
Payday is one of those games were it's only fun with another player even if they screw up a bunch. The singleplayer in Payday is always nothing special as GameInformer said but the non-stop through the roof action definitely makes up for it. Also its insanely addictive as IGN said and comes with a lot more content.
Overall get  this game.
Payday 2 is rated M.

Critics Consensus:Brothers:A Tale Of Two Sons

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new action adventure game where you control two players at the same time! Interesting!
Microsoft's Summer Of Arcade lineup has always been strong with titles like Trials HD,Splosion Man,Dust An Elysian Tail, and Limbo. However to due Microsoft's focus on the Xbox One the Summer Of Arcade has been a little bit dry. Except for one title from Starbreeze (developers of The Darkness) who aim to turn around this summer's season of games.
Brothers:A Tale Of Two Sons is emotionally captivating as Eurogamer Italy said. It is immensely satisfying as Games Master UK stated as well and is looking to be one of the best downloadable games of the year. The only few knock offs are that it's short but this game is amazing either way.
Overall get this game. It's cheap and definitely worth it.
Brothers:A Tale Of Two Sons is rated T.
