Critics Consensus:Octodad:Dadliest Catch

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the new sequel to the cult-classic indie hit Octodad!
Octodad was a huge hit back three years ago partly due to the success that the frustrating running game QWOP delivered. Now it's kind of a genre considering the popularized Surgeon Simulator game that came out 6 months ago. Now Octodad's coming back and while it doesn't have many improvements, I bet this game will make you laugh your ass off.
Octodad:Dadliest Catch is now a bombtastic game that explodes the Octodad series into new directions but at the same time it really can't be. It's pretty short but as critics as Polygon,Gamesbeat, and Digital Spy have said it doesn't overstay it's welcome and throwing crap around in a wedding is pretty dang fun.
Overall get this game.
Octodad:Dadliest Catch is rated E10+.

Critics Consensus:Tomb Raider Definitive Edition

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is an upgraded next-gen version of the fem-fatale hit Tomb Raider!
Tomb Raider was one of the biggest hits of 2013. It was intense with action at every turn and had interesting gameplay and a strong female protagonist just to tie all the loose ends together. Now Lara Croft returns in an all new Definitive Edition which is set to mark the first next-gen representation of Lara. Let's find out if all is true to believe or if this is just a fraud with no noticeable changes.
Apparently Definitive Edition rocks hard scoring 9 out of 10's from IGN,Game Informer, and Gaming Trend. GameInformer has even said it's the must have next-gen game and while it may lack any noticeable improvements besides for graphically and amount of content, it's certainly a good game to play during the January drought of games.
Overall get this game if you want to.
Tomb Raider:Definitive Edition is rated M.

One Of The Worst:I, Frankenstein

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Aaron Eckhart's Victorian Frankenstein reboot, I Frankenstein.
Godzilla is getting rebooted this year as well with Jurassic Park in the future and Frankenstein now. I Frankenstein is looking to be the first less than 10% score on RT of 2014 due to it's dumb CGI, cheesy acting, and no review press screenings. Well everything I just said is true and i'll just mention the fact that this has a 4% on RottenTomatoes.
Man I can predict the future! I Frankenstein is taken way too seriously as Reelviews stated, the makeup and costume design are some of the worst movies have to offer as Boston Globe said, and it's so bad it's laughable as the A.V. Club bellowed. Also it hasn't gotten a single positive review on Metacritic. I Frankenstein cant catch a break.
Overall do not see this movie.
I Frankenstein is rated PG-13.

Critics Consensus:Dead Rising 3:Operation Broken Eagle

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the all new Dead Rising 3 DLC in which you have to save the president!!
Dead Rising 3 was a flagship title on the Xbox One. It was a game that showed off the Xbox One's hardware in many ways such as the amount of zombies on the screen, and no load times. It also ended up selling up a million copies which is a pretty impressive number considering the way Capcom has been going lately. So what better way that to round that good up with a nice batch of DLC? Turns out that sours the deal rather than sweetening it.
Broken Eagle is an unneeded experience to the Dead Rising franchise. Unlike Case Zero this game while not necessarily buggy or bad looking is very bland and overly expensive. The campaign only lasts a few hours as VideoGamer.com put it and while the new vehicles and weapons are nice, the price point isn't enough to justify it.
Overall do not get this game.
Dead Rising 3:Operation Broken Eagle is rated M.

Critics Consensus:Assassin's Creed Liberation HD

Hi! We are Critics Consensus.  We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the remake of the acclaimed Vita game!
Assassin's Creed Liberation HD was a game that released two years ago set to bundle up the events of Assassins Creed 3 in a bow and boost Playstation Vita sales. The game was breathtaking and gorgeous with vast open worlds on the small screen. However since noone bought a Vita Ubisoft needs to their recoup their losses and what better than to release a digital HD (well not really) version?
Turns out it wasn't such a good idea in the first place. The game feels like it's slapped on at other consoles and has received no positive reviews because of this. It doesn't fix the problems the Vita version had either and looks like crap compared to other spectacular HD collections. IGN even gave it a 5. What can we say? Critics miss the naval combat.
Overall do not get this game.
Assassins Creed Liberation HD is rated M.
