Critics Consensus: Spec Ops: The Line
Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Spec Ops: The Line a reboot of the Spec Ops series that came out in the 2000's.
In the early 2000's and the late 1990's a series came out that fell flat many times over and over again. That series was a series called Spec Ops. Well 2K rebooted the franchise and there's good news and there's bad news. Machinima gave it a 9.0 praising it for it's intelligent treatment of adult themes. Official Xbox Magazine also praised it for how it made you think and Game Informer called the story riveting. The problems about Spec Ops: The Line is that it has minute to minute gameplay and if you like games that don't make you think (Call Of Duty for example) this is not for you.
Overall get this if you want it and are a gamer who knows the games consequences, and do not get it if you are a more bang-bang explosion person
Spec Ops: The Line is rated M.

Critics Consensus: To Rome With Love
Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is To Rome With Love the spiritual successor to Midnight In Paris.
Last year a movie came out was critically acclaimed, got good box office moola, and was nominated for a slew of Oscars. That movie was Midnight In Paris. The sort of spiritual successor to Midnight In Paris. Critics say all this does is change Bonjour to Ciao. USA Today said it probably is not going to win audiences like Midnight In Paris did and they gave it a 63. The New York Observer also called it too long while New York Daily News thought the acting did not work.
Overall if you see this you will be disappointed but you will have one laugh or two.
To Rome With Love is rated R.

Critics Consensus: Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World
Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular daily critics opinion for the newest video games and movies! Today it is Seeking a Friend For The End Of The World a new romantic comedy set during the apocalypse.
The apocalypse is nice in this movie. Well in a way. Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World stars Steve Carell and Kiera Knightley in a movie about two new lovers setting on a quest during the apocalypse. New Orleans Times liked the script in fact most critics did and other critics felt the acting was good too like in The A.V. Club's review. Most of the reviews were positive until they talked about the final act. So the rest of the movie is good until the ending.
Overall see this if you want to and see it if you don't.
Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World is rated R.
My Personal Opinion: LEGO Batman 2:DC Superheroes.
NOTE: This is different than the posts we have on this blog because instead of the critics opinion this is my opinion. This time it is LEGO Batman 2: DC Superhereos.
I played Batman:Arkham City for a while and I loved it so I wanted a new Batman experience. LEGO Batman 2 suddenly came on my list and I thought I might check it out. Just when I thought the LEGO games were the same experience over and over again I was wrong. LEGO Batman 2 adds an open world that is pretty cool and it also has a big complaint from me voice acting. The funny thing is the villain voice acting sucks and Joker sounds like an optimistic hot-dog vendor but the superhero voice acting was actually pretty good besides the fact that I swear Robin sounds like a 13 year old kid. When I started the game it felt like a 2-D brawler and then it carried on to a similar LEGO experience. Co-op could be better because some of the puzzles are obtuse and solutions come to you at the last minute but overall the gameplay was fine. The plot suffers from just plain boring sequences like "Bruce Wayne gets his Man Of The Year award stolen" not Joker robs the worlds biggest bank. LEGO Batman 2 was kind of fun I guess but I was hoping to be blown away and immersed into the world. Nope I'm just fighting Joker another time for Pete's sake.
LEGO Batman 2: DC Superhereos is getting a 7.0 out of 10 from me.
