Critics Consensus:Wreckateer

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Wreckateer a new downloadable Kinect game.
Microsoft usually delivers strong downloadable titles for their promotional sales like Summer Of Arcade. Kinect has not gotten the best critical reception and while Wreckateer is not a wreck it is better than slightly mediocre. Most critics called the game a good Kinect game but not a good game overall for example Vandal Online and Eurogamer Spain stated that in their review. The problems about Wreckateer is that the level design needs to be better as well with the clunky Kinect controls as GameRevolution and Mondo Xbox exclaimed.  So if you can not control a game what is there to it?
Overall do not get this game but if you have a Kinect and only used it to play Dance Central you should get this.

Wreckateer is rated E10+.

Critics Consensus: Ruby Sparks

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is Ruby Sparks a new indie comedy.
The phrase Ruby Sparks can mean virtually anything. Ruby sparks in the sky, some one named Ruby spontaneously combusting, some one named Ruby having a great idea and many many more. Luckily this film is not one of the bad definitions to the movie's title. Ruby Sparks is not amazing per-say but just good enough to get a 68 on Metacritic and almost a 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. The AV Club praised the script and so did the Newark Star Ledger. The best thing that critics loved about Ruby Sparks was it's genuine sweetness. Even though IndieWIRE also cherished the acting TIME thought it was week and The New York Observer did so too. I guess everybody can not be happy.
Overall you should go see this movie. You will love it.'
Ruby Sparks is rated R.

Critics Consensus: 30 Beats

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is 30 Beats a new romantic comedy.
Remember when I wrote about the movie Virginia which was donkey crap? Well we have got another piece of donkey crap got published by a studio and now I have to talk about it. I present to you a movie with a 5% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 20% on Metacritic, 30 Beats! amNewYork called the "screenwriting lame" and hated the performances while Slant Magazine called the characters one dimensional and lastly Village Voice gave it a 0 out of 10 and called it absolutely terrible!
Overall never see this movie or you will be screwed.

30 Beats is rated R.

Critics Consensus: The Dark Knight Rises

NOTE: The My Personal Opinion: The Dark Knight Rises will be delayed a couple of weeks because of the Aurora TDKR massacre. R.I.P: For the victims that we killed during the atrocity.
NOTE: This post will be more complicated then previous one's because this is a giant release for the movie industry. So why not have a giant post?
Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is The Dark Knight Rises the final movie in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy.
Plot:
The Denver Post praised the emotional arc in the story and Aisle Seat also praised the ending. Though through all the positive reception Empire complained about less surprises as the first 2 movies even though they gave the film a 10 out of 10. So while the plot may lack the most originality it still holds up in movie standards.
Acting:
Most critics praised the directors work but The New York Daily News praised Christian Bale's work and they gave it a 8.0. One complaint came from USA Today which gave it a 75 saying that Tom Hardy's performance as Bane was not as good as Heath Ledgers performance which makes sense because Heath Ledger won an Oscar for that role. One of the most positive quotes was praising Joseph Gordon Levitt's performance as John Blake. So all acting in this movie is great.
Special Effects:
The only very negative review was from The New York Observer who complained about the IMAX. Other than that no reviews praised the special effects but praised that there was little special effects and for example a plane falling out of the sky fighting scene was all real.
Overall:
Overall you should go see this movie. You will want to see it again.
