Critics Consensus:Pain And Gain

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is a new Michael Bay movie!

So it has been more than five years since a Michael Bay movie has been made that is not Transformers. Pain And Gain is based off an actual newspaper article where personal trainers get caught in crime. Well we ran out of remakes, books, and video games so let's do newspaper articles.
Michael Bay usually gets his movies slammed so it's weird that Die Hard 2 has a higher score than Transformers on Metacritic but you know both movies are not amazing. Somehow Miami Herald said that Pain And Gain was Michael Bay's best movie,Chicago Sun Times praised the writing but the overuse of slo-mo technology and explosions make the movie kind of annoying.
Overall see this movie if you want to.
Pain And Gain is rated R.

Critics Consensus:Star Trek:The Video Game

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the Star Trek video game.
When I first heard about Star Trek:The Game, I was skeptical. Another game that was going to be based off an movie and it was going to suck. At that time Activision was making it. Well, Activision is not the best game publisher but the project was handed to Namco. And well they did a damn good job.
At being bad.
Now I know for certain that Namco is not a reliable publisher because Star Trek nearly has the same Metacritic scores as The Walking Dead:Survival Instinct and Aliens:Colonial Marines. See the trend? These games are all licensed properties. They are glitchy, have bad graphics and are repetitive as said by Polygon,Post Arcade,Toronto Globe And Mail, and countless other game publications.
Overall just get this game and throw it into the ground.
Star Trek:The Game is rated T.

Critics Consensus:Dead Island:Riptide

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is the sequel to Dead Island!

Dead Island was a cult classic for many reasons. It had a heartbreaking trailer. We later learned that the trailer had nothing to do with the game and the game was not heartfelt in any way. We also learned when it came out that it was an extremely buggy game. Though the decapitation aspects and co-op made it worth it.
Then Deep Silver released a trailer for Dead Island Riptide which was extremely sad and depressing and then they released the Zombie Bait Edition which was only for male gamers to masturbate too and that got cut and then it's released. Sourcefed gave it a DIE and said that it should have been DLC,Official Xbox Magazine complained about the broken visuals and how the game does not make any sense. and just to top it off the game is even more buggy than Dead Island. That just throws it in a bucket and labels it cow crap.
Overall do not get this game.
Dead Island Riptide is rated M.

My Personal Opinion:42

Hi! We are Critics Consensus. We post the regular critics opinion for video games and movies! Today it is me reviewing 42.
If you think about the people that changed the way blacks were treated, you would probably think of Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, or Jackie Robinson. Now a movie is being made about Jackie Robinson, but would it do a disservice to him? Good thing 42 is a great movie. It is not a masterpiece by any stands, but will definitely stand up to Jackie Robinson’s achievements. The acting is great; especially Chadwick Boseman’s and Harrison Ford’s performances. The writing is inspirational, too, and you will feel heartfelt for Jackie and his girlfriend as they get criticized immensely from baseball fans who do not want to accept change. In fact when one player complains to the owner of the Dodger’s about the comments he is getting for defending Jackie Robinson, the owner (Harrison Ford) shows the player the gigantic pile of death threats he has gotten. This is one of the most powerful scenes in the movie and will probably be one of the best scenes in a baseball movie for a long time. The only minor complaint that I have with the movie is that they say everything that will happen at the beginning at the movie so it spoils it. Though the emotional journey that you follow with Jackie will make up for most of it. Overall I will give 42 an 8.5 out of 10.
